I blasted it as loud as I could without anyone else hearing it once (I was wearing headphones) in my friend's truck. It was dark out, and soooo awesome. I got chills, and... it was so peaceful...

After much searching, I found the original score, and went on finale to have an entire orchestra play the backround music of Music of the Night, just so I could practice singing it for a competition. It took hours to write out all the parts!

Everyday, when I come home from school, I feel very stressed out and usually I go inside of my room and close the door. I just lay on the bed, and listen to Erik's soft voice, and Christine's beautiful soprano, and I let my mind wander. The music goes up and down softly and lets me sink into my sheets and think, simply think. It sinks deeper than my brain. I don't just hear it. I feel it. I wonder how they made you feel like that. It makes me forget everything. It cures everything, if only for a few minutes. This is not music to me. It is what i think represents love and life.
That's one of the prettiest things I think I have ever said.

Differen't versions of the song have different effects on me. Its like
Gerry Butler version: Makes me sleepy (which by the way, thats not what the song is suppose to do)
Hugh Panaro: Makes me all melty (that voice is so sexy and low!)
Michael Crawford: Puts me in a trance (he sings it so majestic like)

Anje_de_Musique Quote: i've done that before...i know exactly what your talking about. Whenever i get home and it's one of those nights where you feel someones watching you and you do a bunch of double takes i just sit in my room, close my eyes and listen to music of the night...and i dont feel scared anymore. I wonder how Webber does that through music. It makes me feel as if nothing could go wrong. It relaxes me and enlightens me. Sometimes I feel as if I'm waiting for my Phantom in the world to come find me and rescue me from its clutches. To sing to me forever. I only wish... @ <)>Anje i feel the exact same thing......... that's why i hate Raoul and most of all Christine because she was too stupid to leave Erik
