Mysterious Wards
Rowan has mysterious, glowing markings over certain parts of her body, most notably her face. These markings seem to grow brighter based on emotional state or impending danger. They mysteriously appeared the morning she woke up to discover that her family had disappeared.
What Rowan does not know is that these markings are protection wards, and the spells were woven over her in infancy. But by who? And why? Rowan needs someone to tell her what the glowing markings are, because she certainly has no idea. This type of spell would not generally appear on the skin like this. And if you want to tie your character into the reason why she has the markings, or the casting of the spells, let me know and we can talk turkey!
Family Dynamics
On Rowan's tenth birthday, she awoke to discover that her family had disappeared. They were simply gone without a trace. Rowan went to live with her aunt Corwen, and she avoids having to think about what may have happened to them. But the pain of their loss and the inevitable curiosity are both still there. And this provides lots of plot options!
-Rowan needs someone to open up to about this, but it won't be an easy thing since she actively avoids discussing it or even thinking about it. But I would like to see her coerced into vulnerability. If you want her to open up to your character, I would like the two of them to have some sort of consistent relationship. Friends, mentor/mentee, eventual lovers, it's all up for discussion.
-I have not determined what has actually happened to her family. So if you have any ideas and/or would like to be involved in this, that would be awesome. Discovering the fate of her family will be a HUGE part of Rowan's personal plot and development.
Friendship is Magic!
Rowan needs friends! Friends who could stay friends, or turn into enemies, or even into lovers! I would really like to see her come out of her shell and start to open up to other people, lighten up, and learn to enjoy life a little bit. It would be great if someone could help her cause a little uncharacteristic mischief.
Oh That Drama Llama
Do you have something dramatic you want to do? I'm all over it! Kidnappings, broken hearts, illness and injuries... I'll hopefully add some specific ideas once I think of some. But if you have any ideas, Rowan is all in!
