Introduction: Student's Wands
Time: Two Weeks, Seven Remaining


I. Students will introduce themselves to the professor by stating their name, house, and wand. Romulus will then explain to them what their wand means.

Lesson One: Introduction to Wands
Time: One Week, Six Remaining


I. Students will discuss the origins of wands, as well as the Ollivander family.
II. Students will discuss what a wand is made of as well as length and rigidity.

Homework: Students will research a famous witch or wizard and describe their wand to the class.

Presentation Day
Time: One Week, Five Remaining


I. Students will present their homework to the class.

Homework: Students will write a paper on why they believe their wand chose them.

Lesson Two: The Wand Chooses the Wizard
Time: One Week, Four Remaining


I. Students will discuss this law in detail.

Homework: Students will look up times when wand weighing has been used.

Lesson Four: Wand Weighing
Time: Two Weeks, Two Remaining


I. Students will explain what wand weighing is.
II. Students will be paired up and weigh their partner's wand.

Homework: Study for the Final.

Final

I. Students will discuss the three woods commonly used by the Ollivander family as well as what makes a wood common.

I. Students will discuss what makes a core moderate in rarity.
II. Students will receive a list of moderate cores.
