Alastor gave a small smile. "What else do you like? Since we're on the subject." he asked softly, munching on another piece of the bruschetta. "Do you have any allergies, or....a childhood pet? "I like sweet things." Lucas admitted with a soft blush. He knew it was childish to hold onto things like sweets but as a child he had horded them away saving holiday candy to eat piece by piece at a later date. "I like to read and I have a couple of allergies." Lucas continued a bit reluctant to say what ones especially when one was pretty severe if it was embedded in his skin for too long. "I was never allowed pets as a child my mother was allergic to fur and dander. What about you?"

Alastor couldn't help but smile a little, the boy was indeed cute to have a craving for something like that. "I might have to put out desserts for dinner then." he said softly, having enough of the appetizer and continuing to wait for their entree's. "What are you studying at school again?" Unsure if he had asked this question before.

Lucas smiled as Alastor did and blushed again when the man said that he might out desserts for dinner. "You don't have to do that" Lucas said softly. "I'm studying cultural anthropology." he chirped.

Alastor's grin widened, if this boy was telling him the truth then maybe he would enjoy seeing some of the antiques he has from way back in the day. "Interesting. What kinds of cultures do you enjoy studying the most?" He asked, trying to keep the conversation going as the entree's and bread stick basket made their way onto their table.

"Um ancient cultures, the ones we can't just sit and watch anymore. The only way we can discover how they lived is to study the objects they've left behind." Lucas said a but excitably.

"So I don't suppose you would enjoy seeing artifacts from the early 1800's?" he asked curiously as he started eating his entree. Sometimes human food was quite delicious even if it gave him not nutritional value.

Lucas dropped his fork when Alastor asked him if he would enjoy seeing artifacts from the early 1800's, it clanged loudly against his plate before flopping onto the table. "Really?!" he exclaimed. "That would be awesome. What continent are they from? Do you know which civilization? Where did you get them?" Lucas fired off questions no longer paying any attention to his food.

Alastor smirked, he knew that would catch his attention. "My father was a merchant during the Renaissance. He often hired other people to go out of voyages in search of new lands to grow his crops. He collected art, pottery, head dresses....all sorts of things from the new lands. He couldn't bear to part with any of the things he collected, and when he passed I inherited everything." He said softly, taking a bite of his food. "I'll let you take a look at everything if you'd like."
