Warmest of greetings to the saints in Christ!

Leslie D. Weatherhead, writing in his book "The Will of God", explains that there is assurance and peace that comes from living within the will of God.
The British preacher and theologian offered his opinions to the congregation at the City Temple of London in 1944.
Weatherhead opines that living within the will of God gives us peace for three reasons;
1. We lose our fear of getting lost.
2. The dread of carrying the responsibility of the circumstances around us is removed.
3. Conflicts between His will and our will is removed.

Think about it. Once we are saved by the grace of God and when we learn to live within His Will for our lives, we are able to surrender fully to the Holy Spirit of God and enjoy a peace that comes from believing that He is actually in charge and in control. We simply need to "LET GO" of the world and "LET God" direct our every footstep.

Jesus our Savior and Lord spoke of His heavenly Father's will. Let us look at Mattew 6:10; "Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven."
It is only right that we would want God's will to be done in our lives and the lives of those around us. When wee live within His will, we cannot get sidetracked or lost within our own wills.

Let's look at John's gospel, Chapter 1 verses 11-13. "He came unto his own, and his own received him not. But as many as RECEIVED HIM to them he gave power to become the sons of God, even to them that believe on his name: Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God."

God's will is that none should perish and that every person on earth would live within His will and have fellowship with Him. These things that happen around us should never have an effect on or interfere with surrendering our lives to His will and purpose.

As Jesus was facing capture, torture and death on the cross, He understood that His Father's Will must be done in His own human existance.
See the book of Matthew 26:39, "And he went a little further, and fell on His face, and prayed, saying, O my Father, if it be possible, let this cup pass from me: nevertheless not as I will, but as thou will."

Our desire should be in full agreement with God's will and desire for us.
Surrender and dependence on God's will keeps us upright, filled with peace and joy and enables us to share His will and word with others.

May God lead, guide and direct us in accordance to His will.
May we all labor to bring glory to His Holy name!

Your brother in the Lord's Army,
