Abilities
¤ Ninjutsu: Well versed in Water Style, and is able to perform adequately in other styles. However, Shizuo has difficulty learning Fire and Lightning Styles.
¤ Taijutsu: Shizuo ranked first in this field when he graduated from the Academy. Having gotten extensive training from his adoptive father, he is able to control his movements effectively. In addition to this, he also utilizes his kekki genkai in order to avoid damage if he were to be hit.
¤ Genjutsu: Shizuo is firmly aware that he has absolutely no skill with Genjutsu. The "release" technique is his best technique, but even that may not work every time. However, if he were to completely focus his entire mind to a single genjustu technique, he might be able to pull it off.

History: Shizuo Hozuki was born at the end of the Fourth Great Shinobi World War. His parents are currently unknown, but his mother was told to be a member of the Hozuki clan. Soon after his birth, Shizuo was given to the care of the village. Kirigakure's Displaced Childcare System was only recently established during that period, and was prone to frequent problems. His first four years were spent in the care of the State, and Shizuo was often not chosen for adoption. This was due to the mild resurrection of fear toward kekkei genkai users during the period of transition of Mizukages. It was near his fifth birthday when Yuzuru Momichi, the sensei of a taijutsu dojo near the village, came across Shizuo during one of his lessons. Yuzuru was training first year students, when Shizuo was venturing aimlessly through the village. The students were being instructed on how to spar with one another, when Shizuo noticed them. Using his kekkei genkai that he figured to use by himself, Shizuo snuck through the fences of the training grounds to observe. Noting his arrival from the very beginning, yet surprised at seeing him, Yuzuru called out Shizuo from his hiding spot and coaxed him to join them in the lesson. He set Shizuo up as the first one to spar with the students, and since he was not a student, he was to fight each student. Amazingly enough, Shizuo's determination to prove himself to the class was displayed by his instinctual fighting ability, and endurance. After having defeated the students,, Yuzuru ended the class early and took Shizuo with him back to Kirigakure's Headquarters. Although not officially a citizen of the village, Yuzuru was permitted to adopt Shizuo as his son and continues to train him in taijutsu.
Personality : Shizuo is often upbeat and is incredibly energetic. He is constantly seen swimming outside his adoptive father's dojo. Shizuo does tend to get loud, as he often gets excited. Despite this, he does have a softer, compassionate side that extends to his selfless attitude. Although, he doesn't have the greatest intelligence, Shizuo is able to understand and figure out things through physical means.
