BATTLE SYSTEM

I. Battles are judged using this format only.
II. Only certified Crew judges and current Vice Captian moderators are permitted to judge battles, no one else.
III. In the event of a tie, a coin flip will be used or another battle post will be requested and judged.

BATTLE JUDGING FORMAT

        GRAMMAR & SPELLING
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. Points are awarded for consistent correct spelling and correct grammar in every post of the battle.
II. The points are awarded overall combine any and all posts together for the complete award of points.
III. Nearly perfect spelling and grammar will be awarded up 10 points.
IV. As the mistakes get more and more regular, points will be deducted from the score.

        THE ATTACKS
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. Attacks are judged on the likelihood that the attack will actually succeed or fail; how thoroughly the attack was thought through and if there was a greater plan involved in it all (how the character actually fights is also taken into consideration for this [beserker/tactician]) Creativity is also a plus; doing the same movements over and over would incur negative points.
II. Describing how the attack would impeded their opponent and exactly how it affects the surrounding body helps receive additional points.
III. All of the attacks will be judged as a whole.

        THE DEFENSE
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. Defending movements are judged on the likelihood that the defense or dodge will be successful and the appropriate amount of damage is or isn’t received from the attack. Again the how thoroughly the defense or dodge was thought through and now how they must compensate for the injury received.
II. Knowing exactly how the character is feeling and how they intend to go on now that they are compromised in some way, how the attack now affects the rest of his surrounding body now.
III. All defenses or dodges judged as a whole; a half dodge will receive loss of a point. [half dodge would be considered not taking the full intended hit and the character dodges a bit only taking let's say 50% of the damage intended]

        DETAIL & DEPICTION
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. Points are awarded for a well thought through battle post, there is greater plan, we understand the thoughts and feelings of the character and why they are here.
II. We know how they see to win said battle and possibly how they plan to fight their opponent, whether or not they have been trained to battle, do they have history here at the Cliffs.
III. Everything is easy to understand and you don’t need to look up some crazy name of a muscle that only some scientist would know.
IV. The post(s) creates a nice picture of the time, the day itself, the season, surroundings and whatever other fluff to draw in the reader is a nice addition as well.
        V. Everything flows smoothly through every post keep the reader entertained and not lost through the post as the battle progresses.

        PRACTICALITY & REALISM
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. This is judged on the actual likelihood that any of this battle would truly happen if in reality; EX) a crazy feat like falling 50 feet from the sky and surviving to attack an opponent would NOT be considered realistic.
II. If powers are involved the likelihood that the attack or defense would succeed when the power is involved.
III. That all of the movements are likely to be seen between a battle of foes in the reality, that a decent attempt to mimic true behaviors in the wild is made which will improve points awarded.

The entire battle is judged by the score of 0/50 points the character with the most points is declared the winner.

        CHARACTER AGE
        [Out of 10 points]
9-12: Usually less likely to have experience battling, but are youthful and full of untapped stamina which gives them a slight advantage as the start to age and their experience increases so will the points granted to the character. (5-8 points)

13-16: This group has the best advantage of all of the age groups, they are seasoned on the battle field, are wiser in their years and can see and recognize the patterns in a battle, they are still youthful enough that they have the endurance and stamina to spare so they can persevere and continue on in the battle. (7-9 points)

17-25: This group is rather skilled and is at the prime of life, they are extremely well seasoned on the battle field therefore they are great opponents full of cunning and tricks that a more youthful foe would never think of. (8-10 points)

        CHARACTER PERSONALITY
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. We learn what makes them tick inside mentally and some basic traits that they display.
II. We learn whether or not they are a beserker or a tactician on the battle field and how it affects them.
III. The totality of the character’s attitudes, interests, behavioral patterns, emotional responses, social roles, and other individual traits that endure over long periods of time

        CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. A description of the actual look and feel of the character and how in depth the player has gone on about their character. We know injuries and scars, how they negatively affect the character.
II. Are there advantages to them? Are there disadvantages? What are they built for? How does this help or impede them?

        CHARACTER DESCRIPTION
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. A description of the character’s history and the elapsed time in between now and their previous life.
II. Anything that had existed or occurred in their history that has altered or made them who they are now, anything that had happened previously to the character that would better help us understand why they are who they are.

The entire battle is judged by the score of 0/50 points the character with the most points is declared the winner.

        OPTIONAL STATS CATEGORY

        POWERS & ATTRIBUTES
        [Out of 10 points]
        I. A Power can be judged as an optional category in either battle situation.
II. In order for it to be included in the judging it MUST be agreed upon prior to the beginning of the battle when the players are establishing the format, otherwise this option WILL BE excluded from the judging regardless of what you ask for in the end.
III. This is the requirement for the power category to be included.

        POWERS

IV. When powers are used: constant use will drain the character's stamina faster, so whether or not this is taken into consideration will be judged (example: Using blessed abilities will cause extreme fatigue and may even make the character unable to fight anymore.)
        V. The reality of the power (example:. If one has a fire power and the other water... Water always quenches fire if there is a reasonable amount of it.)
VI. How well developed is the power? Does it have an advantage over their opponent? How? What is the disadvantage to using this power during the battle?
VII. Is the power controllable? How does it affect the character and how would it affect their opponent? Does it leave them weak and vulnerable? Does it aid them in their fight? How?
