Right now I have a Hetalia fanfic posted up on FF.net
The name of the story is Can You Shine My Shoes? It is an A/U (rated M for later chapters) set in late 1960's New York. The main pairing is Germany/Italy with the side pairings of England/America, and Spain/Romano.
In my story, Ludwig (Germany) comes from a rich family in Germany, but decided to leave that all behind, to study abroad in America as an Architecture intern. There he meets a lot of new people, some he likes (Kiku for example) and some... well not so much (Francis, Alfred). Yet, the one man who stands out from them all, is a sweet Italian, named Feliciano Vargas. Young Feli is extremely poor, and works hard to pay for his brother Romano's medicine/hospital bills (he has tuberculosis). Shining shoes, and painting pictures to sell, Feliciano scraped by a meager existence, devoid of friendship or love; until he meets Ludwig.
Through the story you will see the trials of life, the happy accidents we call falling in love, and friendships built to last forever.
