Autumn is in the air and, more than ever, odd things have been happening across the land of Canis. The last year has been especially strange -- the most notable event being the tolling of the bells heard more loudly and more insistently than ever by those with latent magic abilities. Even those born without magic seem to be uneasy and few people walk the streets anymore once the sun has gone down. Stranger, still, there have been stories of large beasts sighted in various towns, and some have begun to say that these events mark the return of the Hell Hounds.
