Character Name: Kino

Fandom/ Home: Kino's journey / The Land of Adults

Appearance: A teenage girl of modest height, Kino has a short, practical haircut, and hazel eyes. She dresses androgynously, often wearing baggy biker clothes, as useful attire is more important to her than good looking attire. She's often mistaken for a boy at first glance, at least to those who aren't unusually perceptive.
Her companion Hermes is a motorad, or talking motorcycle. He appears old, dusty and beat up, but is nonetheless reliable.

Age: 14

Likes: Hospitality, interesting stories, local cuisine, iced tea, tourist traps

Dislikes: Killing, condescension, exploitation, swimming, the idea of settling down

Personality: (1-3 Sentences) Kino is a curious, nomadic young traveler. Her bravery is both a blessing and a curse, as it lets her satisfy her thirst for knowledge, but also leads her to reckless behavior at times. She tries her best not to interfere in the worlds that she explores, but with her back against the wall, she'll act however she feels necessary.

Bio: A girl with the name of a flower was born in The Land of Adults, a country where children who have reached the age of twelve are taken in for a surgery that will cure them of their personality and dreams in order to transform trhem instantly into responsible, obedient, and unintentionally sociopathic adults. On her twelth birthday, a traveler named Kino visited, and challenged her belief in this tradition. When she questioned her parents about whether the practice was necessary, they tried to kill her, but were thwarted when Kino sacrificed himself to save her. Taking his motorad, Hermes, she fled the country, adopted her savior’s name, and took on his life as a traveler.

Weapons/ powers / abilities: For protection and hunting, Kino carries a .44 single action revolver (called "the Cannon", based on a Colt M1851) that uses liquid explosives in place of gunpowder and a .22 automatic pistol (named "the Woodsman", based on a Colt Woodsman). Later in Kino's adventures in the novels, Kino also uses a pump action shotgun (based on a Winchester M1897) and a semi-automatic sniper rifle (called "the Flute", based on an Arisaka Type 99 rifle), along with a variety of other tools, including knives. She is known to carry no less than five knives on her person, including one which can fire .22 bullets from its hilt. Kino is an unusually quick draw, who practices frequently.

Character Name: Waylon "Killer Croc" Jones

Fandom/ Home: Batman, gotham City Sewers

Appearance: Standingf at 11 feet tall, covered with rock-hard green scales, Waylon sports a hideously deformed face and a mouth full of razor sharp teeth.

Age: Unknown, presumably late thirties.

Gender: Male

Likes: Physical challenges, gambling, human flesh, hunting, puppies.

Dislikes: Confined spaces, polluted water, modern music, humanity, being ridiculed.

Personality: Waylon sees himself as an inhuman savage beast, and embraces that image in every way. He has regressed further and further down that slippery slope over time, to the point that he has no regard for human life whatsoever... He will kill, or even eat, any human being that he chooses to without a second thought.

Bio: Born with a rare skin disease that only worsened over time, Waylon Jones was put under the guardianship of his incredibly abusive and alcoholic aunt after his mother died giving birth to him and his father abandoned him. Brutally abused in his home and locked up in a closet like an animal as his aunt drank and engaged in sexual activities and relentlessly bullied at school, Waylon accepted his place in society as always being seen as a monster. Murdering his aunt after finally reaching his breaking point, Waylon fled from society and eventually joined a traveling circus where he was made part of the freak-show, becoming known as Killer Croc.

Bonding with his fellow performers in the show, Jones finally felt as if he had a family, until a horrendous attack occurred at Gotham City by vicious audience members, destroying the circus and killing all whom Jones felt attachment for. Seeing humanity as a disgusting waste of flesh, Jones became a cannibal murderer, often employing himself to the mob for money, before being apprehended by Batman. As the years went on, Jones's condition would make him more and more into a monster, eradicating any traces of humanity that might have been left as Croc became a monster in body and spirit. Always seeking his next meal, Croc has never forgotten the scent of Batman and lusts to kill and devour the hero in retribution for his capture at his hands.

That is, until the mysterious disappearance of his own world, as he was suddenly thrust without explanation into the crystal clear waters of The Island of No Tomorrow...

Weapons/ powers / abilities: While he carries no weapons, it can be argued that Croc himself is a powerful enough weapon... He possesses superhuman strength, armor-like scales that provide him with a moderate amount of protection, and jaws powerful enough to crush bones like toothpicks. He can also survive for extended periods of time underwater, and has a background rich in physical combat.
