Mirrorskin: As a Mirrorskin, he is a Darkling who hides in plain sight from humankind, able to assume any appearance at whim. His bones are malleable and his face flows like quicksilver.
Flesh Manipulation: He can further manipulate his body beyond that of simply human forms which allow him a wide variety of attacks and disguises. However, these types of transformations are energy consuming and can leave him fatigued after a while.
Telepathy: He is able to try forcing his way into his someone's head to read their thoughts. The further he presses, he can even get to the person's memories. Reading thoughts can also be useful in battle. This ability becomes much easier to use if he consumes a part of the person such as hair, blood, a fingernail, etc. This can be countered by a resistance ability or even just a strong mind.
Personality: Mischievous, cunning, deceitful, and manipulative. His time in the dark left him jittery, unpredictable, and walking on a thin line between sanity and madness. He definitely makes it hard to differentiate genius and insanity often blending them together. He often does things for self satisfaction and will only give away free information when he feels that something interesting may happen if he does so. He tries to change up his personality depending on what face he's using but it's all acting and he will start acting the way he normally does once he's found out.
Biography: Nao was always the quiet one in class. The invisible one that others would forget was even there. He was the one who ate, played, and spent time by himself, talking to himself. Everyday he would imagine what it'd be like if people noticed him and actually talked to him. He was a soft spoken yet shady person. He wasn't very talented and there was always someone who would show him up on everything he tried doing. Chosen last and avoided like a plague, he began to grow resentment towards the others. He grew jealous. This slow silent death of his spirit really took a toll on him. He needed some time to get away from all the people and their cheerful faces. There was a forest by his house. He decided to built a small fort out there away from everyone. He began visiting it everyday after school in the evening. It was so peaceful. He began to go out at night and sleep there from time to time to get away from his family as well. They didn't care. He started stashing things there and it soon became his second bedroom away from home. He really enjoyed it there amongst the trees, the chill of the night, and the stars. Little did know this newly found bliss would come to an abrupt end.
Stolen in his sleep, he awoke in a strange place. A dark cold place with murky air and a stagnant odor. The ground was made of rotting floorboards. When he called out, his voice just echoed around him in a terrible manner and returned in his ears like a whisper from another. The rest of his time here did not melt into a blur, no that would be too easy. Every second of his stay in this dreadful, and that was putting it lightly, place was carved into his mind like a dull razor onto his flesh. He who wanted to be alone and at ease was now never alone. He could always feel some kind of presence lingering around him, be it looming over him, skittering around him, or even scratching beneath his skin. He wanted to be invisible, to disappear, to become no one. That is precisely what happened but also what did not. He faded in that place. He lost his old self somewhere in that private hell and was now no one. He also gained many more "selfs" found within that dark little world and was now everyone. Nonsensical yet practical, foolish yet mature. He no longer knew what he was, where he was, who he was, but for some reason, it dawned on him why he was here yet not why he existed. Up was left, right was also left, and down was at a slight diagonal northwest. The thread which held his mind sadly snapped from all the rot that accumulated in his little dark room that even forbade him from looking up to the comfort of the stars.
"Nao" is a name he thought up himself after he forgot his human one. It is short, simple, and pleasant to the ear. Many more years than he realizes have passed since his disappearance. It seems as if he was tested to see how long he could last in such a place. He wanders around aimlessly, the human world now alien to him. He has discovered his skills in intelligence gathering and this is something he enjoys since it allows him to learn many things about nearly anything.
Other: Even though he can use any face imaginable, he seems to prefer adolescents since he can get away with more when using them and more likely because he was an adolescent when he was stolen away. He'll only use adult figures when in a more professional setting. It appears that his personality did a one-eighty from before he was taken. He's lively and likes playing games. He's also very childish which can get the better of him from time to time. He's easy to get along with but it seems you can never get close enough to truly be his friend. Being part of the Autumn Court, he is motivated to cause fear and discord however, he goes about it in a different way. Instead of simply being scary, he makes people fear what he knows, his knowledge, and gives off an air that tells people he knows everything about you. He dances on neutral ground, not one for picking sides.
