My current acting teacher hate's Grease for two reasons. One, she was stuck on a family car ride with a 8 track version of the soundtrack which they never turned off. and two, she was an extra in a stage version and she doesnt know how it happened but the second act lapped itself. Somebody messed up a line and things just got mixed up and the show ened up lapping itself. True story!

We once put together a production of "The Jungle Book" with only eight rehearsals over the course of two months. No joke.

Our theatre teacher just recently put on a show he's been trying to do for 4 years.
Harvey has been in the school that long and we didn't get around to it until just a little while ago. During the show, we had half of the cast drop out so we did manage to replace them, but the guy who had Dr. Sanderson dropped about 2 weeks before the show, so our SM stepped in for him.
The SM was pretty good for someone who had never acted before in his life.

We put Les Mis together in three weeks and the first week we didn't even have a Marius.

This is actually something my Drama 1 teacher told me that was told to him by a friend.
In a song and dance show, the set and costume designers didn't talk enough and the set designer tiled the raked stage. The costume designer put everyone in leather-bottomed sandals. So, opening number, the female lead goes on and realizes she's starting to slide off the stage, so she goes and grabs onto the set peice center stage and sings from there. Male lead goes on, and he has to do the same. So they're standing there holding onto the set peice center stage singing and then the entire male ensemble enters at a run, no one having told them about the floor.
You know what happens next.
Worst part? They were in togas.
