Emg!
That is the exact answer to this stupid Algebra 2 worksheet I had to do. You do the problems and with the problems it answers a stupid joke.
Question: What does a panda do at a basketball/food bar.
Answer: Eats shoots, and leaves.
Strange......

I loved Eats, Shoots, and Leaves. So funny and British and grammarian! Her other book, the one about manners, was not so good but funny too.

Finally, other people who have read this book! (Yes, that exclamation point does want your attention.)
It's my favorite book; I just finished reading it for the fourth time. You know how Lynne talks about missing the chance to have Aldus Mantius the Elder's babies? I want her to have my babies. What lovely, Iranian-American-British, punctuationally proficient children we could have.

I haven't actually read the book, but it comes down to the same thing. My seventh grade teacher read it to the entire class a while back, and it was hilarious, though completely wasted on the idiot masses and illiterates in my school. But it was a good book.

I found a copy at Powell's for a very good price, and read it on a very long drive. It was quite wonderful. I gave to to my best friend with an excited cry of "Here it is! Now you can understand how my brain works!" and she very much sympathized with the bit of discussion that points out how annoying we all are. Heh. I love books about grammar and usage. Especially the funny ones.

Because of Lynne Truss I have had the courage to complain about the "Star War's M&Ms" sign at the local Stop &Shop. Score.
