Unable to hide his true self any longer, their father confessed to their mother that he believed he was a woman trapped in a man's body. This drove a spike between their marriage, and not long after that, their mother left the family, leaving her two children behind. However, this was no where near as sad as you might think. The father, unable to cope with the idea of his children growing up without a mother, decided to play both roles. So, from that point on he would cross dress; doing his best to make sure his children received the loving tenderness of a mother and the fun, yet disciplinary traits of a father. Needless to say, this lead both children to become rather... confused about gender identities.
xoxo The daughter, Aidan Shaye, developed traits that would be expected of a son. Although she still retained some effeminate traits, things like sports, rough-housing, and a competitive nature began to define her. Through her middle and high school years, she even wore boys clothes, kept her hair short, and dominated most of the sports teams at her school. The gymnastics team was by far her favorite though, which she proved to be quite talented in.
Sticking with it for those many years, she had even had hopes of training for the olympics. Even now that she and her brother graduated high school, and out of their parents home, she makes sure to practice everyday and is always pushing herself to do better. ℓıĸεs → xoxo❥ Festivals

xoxo The son, Travis Shaye, adopted the feminine traits, much to his own displeasure. While he wishes he could get into things like sports or care about working out, he just can't. He's sensitive, and loves cutesy things (although he will hastily deny it if you ask about it) and developed a knack for decorating cupcakes when he would bake with his "mom". The boy became very shy, and developed an issue with stuttering. The poor thing actually got picked on in school; rude little girls were often the worst. Their jesting tormented him so much, that the boy actually developed a fear of bossy or overly charismatic women. To this day he still can't stand up to them! In fact, his sister was the one who protected him when things got nasty (a fact that he cannot stand even if it's true).
When it was time to move out, he wanted to prove to everyone that he could be a man (or at least die trying), and fend for himself. ℓıĸεs → xoxo❥ Tea
