Xfactor, I'm going to use you as an example but rest assured you're not the only one who's mentioned this to me, this is the reason this is public what we talked about in PMs stays there
So, some people feel left out because there's nothing in the community for them to do, to feel apart of it.
My response is this, do something about it. There are hundreds of guilds out there to compete in, not up to roleplaying? Do a radio show, goodness knows there's none playing right now Do a youtube video, make your own prediction show Recruit more people and train them, or get some of the people in the Real guilds and try and convince them to come. Teach them our ways, let them teach you their ways, work with them
What's stopping YOU from getting up and doing something? I'm certainly not smacking your wrist and going 'No' You want to make your own guild, go right the ******** ahead.
Make promos, do segments, write stories.. Do what you've got to do
Got an idea? Do it or share it If no one's responsive to the idea, ******** do that s**t anyways or alter it to where people are interested.
But don't be a b***h about something and go 'I'm doing this because I've got nothing.' There's always ******** something. It shouldn't matter if 'I've done everything' because so ******** what, do your own thing. If it's a different version of something someone else did, oh well
Landry did the G-Cup, I did the D-Cup, PF did the V-Cup Marxx did a radio show, Hiro did one, Salem did one Landry did a youtube show, so did Nuke I did a twitter and facebook accounts for my characters, so did others There were several who did fan fictions
There were X-men Rps, Power ranger stuff, etc, even talk of gundam and DBZ
What I'm saying is this, don't contribute to the problem by limiting yourselves to one guild or two, (if that's all you can muster activity wise fine, I get that) but when you b***h about how you want to be more involved that's a problem.. Be the solution, contribute more, do more.
You do not need my approval to do something I am not the go to guy for the community Yes, I complain, and b***h and most of the time it's for good reason
Such as the too many guilds thing, community isn't big enough nor is the activity huge enough to accommodate that. Didn't stop people from opening guilds did it? Nope
I don't want to here a 'Woe is me, Chrono doesn't like me waaahh or Chrono doesn't like my ideas guess I can't do them.'
I only control what's in MY guild, and how I run it. You want to do a storyline where you rape a child, go ahead just not in MY guild. and subsequently WWFG, however ultimately everything is up to Jed. I run his guild yes, but he can change that in an instant
If I don't want you in my guild, I am NOT obligated to allow you into it, nor should you make a big deal that you're not invited into it. Deal with it and move on, plenty of other places to be.
Nor are you obligated to allow me or my ideas into your guild.
Don't be the problem, be the solution Maybe your idea is what sparks the life into the community that makes it flourish for years to come.
But you won't know if you don't speak the ******** up, and say something Just ******** go for it...

Chrono's completely right. Not only should you stop going to him seeking something to do, but you should also believe in yourself and your own judgement.
Don't think of stories just including yourself, either. If you have an idea for a storyline that best suits others, tell them, and perhaps have them consult with you about it's direction.
It's sad that the only way we ever seem to get something done is when someone has to "light a fire under everyone". Let it be Jarel, Chrono, King, Shanahan, anyone. We should know by now for as long as we've been doing this how to shake things up a bit.
Over the next two years, via LWL, I will be bringing forward a story that I hope will draw people in and get everyone excited once more. It doesn't need to involve you or your characters. Its my idea, and I handed the idea to several people to use and make amazing.
It's a rather simple process everyone. To help the community, we just need to work as a creative team writing for wrestling. No selfishness. Nothing. Just working together to make a good story.

Chrono's got a great point here. If someone doesn't have enough to do around here, they obviously aren't looking too hard. As far as guilds go, there's EWA, E:E (Hopefully!), F:G, BBW, FFA, LWL, PWS, and I'm sure I'm forgetting a few. I guarantee that there's no one here that's active in -all- of them. If you need more to do even in an RP sense, your options are far from limited. Hell, you could even have some bullshit storyline in Landry's Dream RP guild.
Personally, as a booker of a guild already, I know I'm more than willing to incorporate new members and storylines. I haven't met a booker that's thrown someone's idea aside without proper reason, and even then they typically try to help come up with a compromise instead.
But in essence, the real winner here is friendship. If we all keep in mind that we are in this community TOGETHER, we'll do more than we realize. I know Chrono's great at putting his grudges aside for others, I think we all can do the same. Except Freakshow.

I might do a talk show of some form once I get all my recording equipment. Maybe a podcast or something. Since my major is radio I'm sure I can think of something.

i'm vaguely wondering who's bitching about not having enough to do in the community. Even limiting myself I'm still pretty damn busy. How's there not enough to do? Running a guild and being active in three others is enough to keep me busy personally. and as matt said, i've never turned down a storyline in my guilds without proper reason. matter of fact, i've yet to turn one down period. I always just ask what's needed from me as the booker and in character owner. that's it
