➢ The Definition of Being: Azura means blue in three different languages, more specifically sky-blue. Her middle name means dawn. The meaning of her last name, but it is believed that it means river. And so, Azura Zora Ryvre can just as easily be called Blue Dawn River.

Sixteen years ago, the opportunity of a lifetime arrived for a young man by the name of Edgar Ryvre. It was the summer after he graduated from college with a degree in art. His favorite band, a group that hardly toured was coming to a city near him. He had to go, and so, he gathered a few friends and they went. They had terrible seats and could hardly see anything, but they were there. That was what mattered. Although, if you ask Edgar, something else mattered.
Where they were sitting was right near a young woman who only introduced herself as Daisy. None of Edgar's friends seemed to notice this beautiful woman, but he did. After the concert, the two started talking and went to a small restaurant that happened to still be open. Edgar found himself falling in love with this woman. He just couldn't help it, and before he knew it they were back in his apartment, specifically in his bed.
The next morning, Daisy was gone. Disappeared without a trace. When Edgar asked his friends about her, they tried blaming her on hallucinations, but the young man knew she was real. She had to be. Edgar just knew it. A short time later, a squirming bundle arrived at Edgar's apartment, as well as a nursery. It was a simple nursery, but the bundle was no simple bundle. It was a squealing, happy, baby girl. This little girl would come to be known as Azura Zora Ryvre.

Edgar decided that the best place to raise his daughter, or at least the girl he loved as a daughter would be Boston. It was a large city, full of people, full of art in all its forms. Where else would an artist's daughter grow up but surrounded by art? It was perfect, for both of them.
Edgar was able to find work as an art teacher at a local school while his daughter attended a preschool nearby. He loved having her close, but the school wanted Azura to be in a school that was more for children her age. Of course, once Azura was old enough to be in kindergarten, the school let her attend.
At first, going to her father's school seemed like a great idea. Azura loved it and made plenty of friends, but her teacher was aware of one very big thing. The girl was different. While the other children always seemed to be moving about in groups, Azura was by herself. The teacher always tried getting Azura to play with the other children, but she just did not seem to want to be with them. Instead of running about during playtime, she would just sit and draw, and during arts and crafts, when the other children were taking care not to get their clothes messy, Azura would take great joy in painting herself more than the paper.
Her father assumed that all of this was due to him. He was an artist. He did have displays that he put up. Azura was a constant and welcome visitor to his studio. Edgar made sure that his daughter knew about how beautiful art was and how she could make it too. Half of the time, the man feared that perhaps he had been too passionate about his art to make his daughter a normal member of society. The other half, he felt proud of her. Being different wasn't always a bad thing.
A few years later, another teacher decided that Azura should be tested. He noticed that she had trouble focusing in class and that she had quite a bit of difficulty reading simple things. He told Edgar that if he wanted his daughter to succeed, he needed to take her to be tested, and so that's what the man did. He took her to see a psychologist who decided that she had ADHD and dyslexia.
Edgar had to make a choice. He could medicate his daughter, or he could let her stay as she was. The choice wasn't hers to make, she was only eight. Far too young to know what was best for herself. Around the time that he was deciding, Edgar met a woman who was going through something similar with her son.
