The only place in the City where you can enjoy some peace and quiet, most of the time. There are places for various sports as well as walking paths and plenty of benches, trees, and a few fountains.

In the park just in front of one of the fountains, a young girl found a doll sitting alone in a bench. The child approached the doll and looked at it for a moment before starting a conversation with the rabbit doll. To anyone watching this would be nothing special as children do this all the time. The little girl picked up the doll and suddenly stopped talking. She held the doll tightly to her chest after a brief moment of inaction. The girl walked over to the fountain and stared at the water. She remained like this until her mother came to her side to check on her. The girl pulled the knife out of the doll and stabbed her mother before pushing her into the fountain. The child dropped the doll and the knife and started screaming. By the time other people had approached to see what happened, the knife was pulled back into the doll by the thin wire. The doll was picked up by another child who was immediate taken over by the doll. The child walked away while everyone was distracted by the screaming girl and her dying mother in the fountain.

It had been a busy night. First he fed off that yummy police officer, then killed a hunter, now he saw a murder. A sly smirk spread across his face as he watched the child like thing. quickly he walked up behind her. "Good evening my dear. It's late to be out alone." His deep voice was smooth and soft as he spoke. Silver eyes peered over the edge of his shades to get a better look at her. His black leather jacked and faded blue jeans made him look more like a common street thug than anything else. Black shoulder length hair with dyed red streaks hung around his face. "Then again I can see you don't really need anyone with you." He chuckled as she spoke, finding it funny how the events of this night has turned out.

The little girl didn't notice Acheron until he was behind her. She slowly turned around and looked up at him. She didn't even bother trying to feign innocence. Instead, she just kept a blank emotionless stare. "I'm not allowed to talk to strangers, Mister," the little girl said in a monotone voice, "My doll wants to talk to you." She pulled the knife out of the back of the doll attempted to stab Acheron. The child didn't have very much strength and no skill with a blade, but the doll was enhancing it through it's mental manipulation. Even with the enhancement, the child's movements were listless and uncaring. It was as if the one controlling her had lost the will to live and held no regard for its own life nor the child's.

The smirk left as he watched her poor attempt at stabbing him. "Poor child." Ash muttered. In one solid, fluid motion he side-stepped the attack, grabbing her wrist that held the knife. His free hand wrapped around her waist, pulling the little girl close. "No one should suffer such a life." He whispered softly, caringly into her ear. The vampire made her drop the knife as he dipped her back in his arms. There was only sorrow as he looked down at her sweet face. "My your next life be a happier one." He gently kissed her forehead as he reached for her necklace and crushed it.

The girl dropped her doll as Acheron grabbed her. She remained under its influence despite not having it in her arms. "I only wanted to go home..." the girl said with tears in her eyes, "Why?...Why wouldn't they just let me go?" The spirit was conveying its feelings of sadness as Acheron crushed the necklace the child was wearing. The child dropped the knife and it stabbed the doll, effectively slicing it open to reveal the locket the spirit was trapped inside of. "I don't want to hurt anyone anymore..." she said as she started crying, "I just want to...I just...Please help me..." The locket was still influencing the child's mind.

"It's ok, I'm here to help you." He reached for the doll on the ground as he kept her in his other arm. "Tell me about your home." Ash said as he started to single handedly tear up and brake the toy. He kept his eyes locked on hers, feeling sorry for how things turned out for her. He gently caressed her cheek before snapping the girls neck.
