Why would you even go down there...
Nobody really cares to think about what the sewers look like, they're too distracted by the pretty lights above, and why would they care? At one point rumors were started awhile back about people being snatched up and dragged down into the sewers, but those are just rumors. Why would believe such a preposterous thing? WHY!?
