Tyra tilted her head a bit. The other had managed to make a weapon. Well, that was impressive. She didn't let it show on her face, no real point in it. Something sharp would be good for hunting those birds she'd mentioned.

The faun hadn't missed the black one's meaningful look at the pipe Tyra currently carried. Not a chance in hell was she giving it up. In a show of faith, the faun removed the metal plating on her front. "We'll use this. Not a chance in hell I'm giving up a defense tool for water." If things came down to it, she was likely to wind up smacking the s**t out of something and not needing her armor anyways. "Besides, it holds more water than this pipe would." She shrugged.

Tyra got to see some form of real emotion for the first time from the black fae. The slightest twitch of her eyebrows in surprise. Other had so readily offered her breastplate, no doubt sentencing it to a good blackening from soot. It soothed her irritation from the red pae's tardiness. She was turning out to be useful after all. "Fair enough." In one fluid motion, graceful and clean the female stood. Her weapon in one hand, her staff in the other. "By your lead." The thought of washing the salt out of her bracers was admittedly exciting. Finding water had been a Guardian-send.

Tyra nodded, fixing her chest piece back on before they headed towards the water. She didn't mind offering it up for their survival, but she did want to wear it while she still had the chance. It was, after all, one of the few things she always carried with her no matter what the circumstance.

"I marked the path there with the pipe, not that it was hard to find." She shrugged, following the same path she had walked along earlier. Between the pipe lines and the hoof prints, it was an easy path to see. It would likely be harder to spot during the night, but for now, it was bright enough to see everything. "The driftwood that was around the pool should be sufficient enough to keep us dry through the night, unless you have another idea." Her tone was cold, factual. It wasn't as if she needed to be emotional about making sure the two of them survived was it?

Finally it seemed like the red pae was going to stop fighting her and work towards the same goal of survival. It was rather obvious though that 'lead' was merely a term to get the other to move as Niday walked by her side. "I do." The faunesc pae's factual tone was late coming to the night fae's calculating demeanor. But better late than never. "The trees I found would keep us above the ground. Away from night predators." Unfortunately while it would work for a short time, trees by themselves were not a fit place for refuge. There was little to none coverage from the elements, but it would do for now when they had nothing.

Tyra shrugged, not really minding. There wouldn't be too many nocturnal predators on an isle, but she couldn't be sure. The faun hadn't lived on an island before, at least not one this small. "How far away are your trees from the water source?" She asked, trying to figure out the logical plan of where to set up their camp. High ground would be best of course, but if it was quite a distance away from the source of water, it would be more logical to build near the water.

Her head tilted, hair flickering up the side of her head a bit with the motion, looking around. She was certain she'd taken a tumble into the water, but it seemed as if the location was lost to her... Maybe she'd napped on part of the trail while the sun was still shining brightly on her red fur. That must have been it. Red eyes flicked forwards, looking for any indication of a fall or a rather large cat nap.

There it was, hiding just into the greenery starting at the edge of the beach. It was coming back to her now. It was mostly sand and driftwood, but there was the occasional reed that was growing because of the nearby water. Sure, it wasn't anything big, but it was a good sign of fresh.

She thought for a moment after the question for some basic calculations. "Around...two to three hours walk from here." Not exactly just around the corner, but it was doable for gathering resources. The leaves, wood, and food it provided would be essential to their survival. Water no doubt came first however. A pae could only live a few days without it. The sooner they had a good water system in place, everything else could be created more leisurely. "Do you know how to hunt?" Niday was to the point as ever. It was best to put out their strengths and weaknesses now to better pass out work. "I can if need be, but I may be put to better use crafting." She had Dayht to thank for that one. Always bringing home little 'projects' to do together.

"It sounds like we should camp here for the night then." Tyra suggested, not minding the walk during the daytime, but even her feline vision wasn't going to handle walking this island at dark well. At the very least, it was best to figure out how to get the water moving towards the other trees in the process.

"Hunting is..." She didn't want to overplay her skills, but hunting was something so very simplistic to her. Tyra had to take a moment to find the right words to finish her sentence. "Hunting will not be a problem." Yes, she was far better at fighting and defense, but hunting was an offshoot that she had managed to accomplish well through her years of combat training.

"I am next to useless at crafting, though I can gather and hunt." That was at least rather useful. When she didn't get distracted by the sun's warm light on her fur.

The fae said nothing at first to the suggestion of camping by the water. Sleeping on the ground where snakes, spiders and other creatures lurked in greater numbers was not something she backed. But her companion wasn't like her. She and the night always had a special connection, and she held no fear of maneuvering in it. Sometimes she took that for granted and forgot the limitations of others. "Agreed." Albeit begrudgingly. In the interest of survival, staying close to the red pae was the wisest course of action. If a predator came two pae were stronger than one.

Perhaps she could throw at least something together in the area so they weren't simply sitting ducks. She pondered her options. "I can craft tools and useful systems if you handle the physical aspects." For hunting one couldn't be bothered with crafting, just as there would be no time for gathering when focusing on a effective net.

Tyra replied with a shrug. She was a bit stronger than those she'd met, physical didn't bother her so much. Nothing different than making her body move and exert the natural energy that was stored within.

"How good is your crafting?" She asked, scanning the area for a flatter chunk of driftwood. It would be simple enough to throw together a few pieces of the debris into a makeshift bed, or at least use it as a pillow to rest ones head on. Tyra didn't really mind so much sleeping on the sand. She could take a quick moment and shake off like she had earlier.

"Or are you comfortable enough with a sand bed for the evening?"

For what had been a rather warm day when they started, the temperature had been dropping swiftly as the sun did the same. The change in temperature brought with it a cool, ocean breeze. By the time it was dark, it had become downright chilly.

The clouds were gathering, blotting out the stars above.

Within a couple days, a rather sizable storm would have settled over the small isle to dump rain and torrential winds as it moved on its way slowly, taking nearly a week to pass in full, starting count as the first of the light rains began that night and increased steadily as the days passed...

After a full week of drenching rain and buffeting winds, the storm would slowly begin to move on its way. The small isle had borne the onslaught valiantly, but it had still come out more than a little worse for wear. Debris scattered the beaches, trees lay twisted and fallen at the sands' edge. The waters had even churned their depths, tossing seaweed and flotsam onto the land.

The two Pae'il struggling for survival on the island would have succeeded in that aspect, but remained drenched and miserable if they hadn't had time to make decent shelter before the storm set in.

Among the debris on the beach, some odd items might be discovered if the Pae were feeling adventurous after being cooped up for so long by the storm. A spear, broken at one end leaving its original length questionable. What it was even made of was hard to tell at first glance, as it had been covered already by new, rough coral growth. What sort of creature had it belonged to previously? And how long ago?

Amid other 'treasures' from the sea, the women might find two large coins, shining in the sparse sunlight peeking through the retreating clouds.

((Congrats on winning an Angel and Elemental coin. More will be discussed about their purpose in the final wrap-up. The Angel coin (bronze one on the left) is for Tyra. The Elemental coin (gold one on the right) is for Niday.

Tyra and Niday now must find a way home on their own. Any magical restrictions that kept them from using their powers or flying have been lifted. The events of this RP are canon, so please ensure they actually find a way out. More will be said on this as well in the final wrap-up.

One of your Pae may take the spear if they like. They may keep it as a souvenir, or perhaps try to find out more about it. It seems rather non-descript, aside from being covered in coral. It doesn't seem as if it always were, however.))

Sleeping on a sand bed...she certainly hoped it wouldn't rain. "Passable. I can make a usable spear for hunting and a bowl for holding. As for sleeping on sand bed, we don't have much choice if we're staying over here." As they walked, she finally noticed the greenery they approached. Obviously that had to be where the red female had found the little oasis. "We should get started on them as soon as possible since night is fast approaching."

Tyra shrugged, not opposing the idea any. At least, until the clouds started rolling in. Seemed as though they needed to hurry and find a roof to put atop their heads. "I don't like the way the air smells." The lioness frowned, feeling the cold seeping into the air around them. So much for that sunlight she had enjoyed earlier in the day.

"I'll start looking for some sort of roof, or anything to make it with. Soon." She was still frowning, and obviously volunteering herself for the harder of the physical labors. If the dark fae could craft, Tyra was more than happy to carry things around.

OOC: Oh Niday, you just HAD to say something rofl Making rain clouds appear, shame shame.

BIC: "Hmm?" Her golden eyes flicked up to the sky, barely catching a gathering of clouds on the horizon amongst all the blue. "You know what they say...what ever can go wrong, will. I'll then work on the beds meanwhile, try to make something to keep runoff from trying to drown us." She was already thinking of something like a moat, like Dayht would do on the beach so when the tide came in it wouldn't kill her castle. Perhaps if she even build sand walls, it would keep some of the warmth in when combined with a roof... Yes...add in some leaves for insulation and it might be passable for the night. Hopefully Tyra could find something large enough to stretch over her sand fortress to get as little water on it as possible.

Tyra took off a ways, going towards the tree line nearby. She was more than content to sleep the storm off, but something about this was making a few joints ache. She had a feeling it was going to be a pretty rough time if they didn't have a roof. And she would be one unhappy kitty. Flicking her eyes across the land, she hadn't seen much. It wasn't a particularly large island, but it wasn't small by any means either.

There wasn't much in the way of things large enough to just use it straight out as cover. Okay, there wasn't any at all in that matter. She sighed, looking for something to splice together to make a roof. There were some palm fronds, but she wasn't sure how well those would hold. And of course, she'd need a bunch of them and multiple layers just to make sure they weren't utterly miserable during the oncoming storm. There was some drift wood, but it wasn't flat enough or large enough to even tie together to other pieces.

Looks like they'd have to use the palm. Maybe they'd get lucky and find bananas or coconuts in the trees. With that thought in mind, the fauness started climbing the nearest palm tree. Get the leaves from the top, check for fruit. If nothing else, she might be able to see where they were.
