"Famous l-last words." She laughed but was more than eager to follow his direction towards the outcroppings. The cold was starting to make her jaw shake beyond her will, having her stutter. Shelter. A place for them to gather resources to survive until help arrived. If help arrives... That was a sobering thought she didn't care to continue. When they arrived, she didn't waste time on 'politeness' to argue who should go in first. Simply just walked right in. The pae who lollygagged was the pae who died. "D-do we have a-anything to burn?" The bit of stone wall kept most of the wind out, but it was still exposed from the entrance. They would have to find something to completely seal them in if they wanted any hope of staying warm.

"Let's just hope they aren't actually our last words" he replied with a shiver and hurried in after her. He rubbed his arms under the blanket, as much as he didn't fully trust this pae he was starting to want the body warmth she may be able to share with him. "Well, we have the songbooks, but... without wood those will be shortlived fires." he paused and looked around their little shelter "Something tells me we could use a long lasting fire, we don't know how long we'll need it."

Wood? She shifted her weight from foot to foot, trying to keep her blood flowing. "S-s-someone...h-as-s-s to g-go out there and l-l-look." Night time would bring a harsher cold, and they might not survive without a fire brewing. As upsetting as it was, he was right that the songbooks would not burn for long. "W-w-we c-c-could take t-tur-r-rns look-king." The other could then take a break from the harsh outside. It would mean taking longer to find wood, but they wouldn't be as likely to get frostbite.

The idea of going back out in the snow was highly unappealing to Note, but she was right they would have to in order to get wood, as chivalrous as it would be he wasn't gonna volunteer to go first. "R-r-rock C-c-cutter P-p-parchment for it?" he asked her extending a hand from under the blanket in the shape of a loose fist. He hoped this would be satisfactory, it was either that or one of them would have to volunteer to go out first.

He was glad she agreed to his idea and stuck a single hand out from the semi-warmth and joined her in the rock scissors parchment. He could be all chivalrous but he honestly had no desire to be in the snow any more then she did.. "Lets do this..."

As soon as the words 'go' left her lips, she tightened her hand into a fist. Instantly her features bloomed into a grin. "Rock beats Cutter! You get to forage in the snow!" But she wasn't heartless. She swung around her pack and dug into it to take out the boot. "You should have gotten one boot too. I don't know if it'll fit your...'feet'..." She looked pointedly at them. Those faun-esc types were weird. "But you should have another one in your pack to. You should get first wear because of the snow." Meanwhile she could warm her toes up under her body as she wrapped herself up as tight as a cocoon.
