Unless you are either blind or stupid, you probably noted the Gateway already as you came into town. This is a pretty basic function and it has guards stationed there at all times to make sure we don't get any unwelcomed riff-raff. I do rather like it though, tis intimidating, yes?
Oh yes, if anyone wants to come in they need to be searched by the guards before they are allowed entry. But you already knew that right?
