The small fox pokemon was scanning the room for an enemy when he stubbed his toe on a rock! Yelping, he jumped back and shook his paw, before realizing it wasn't a normal rock. It was another strange red rock like before. Shrugging, he snatched htis one as well.

Buck was starting to wonder if there WERE slugma in the place. "They wouldn't give us a quest and mess up on what kind of pokemon are in the cave... right?" he chuckled lightly.
No, he knew there were probably the right enemy in their for them to take down. He just needed to find them.

No slugma, but there was another Zubat. Charging forward blindly hadn't produced the desired result the first time around, but doing the same thing again would be fine, right? Of course!
So he shot forward at the zubat once more.

Oddly enough, the attack worked much better the second time than it had the first time around. He had actually managed to hit the zubat and send it flying across the room.
"Take that!" he said proudly, puffing out his chest.
Kelly was glad to see his exploration partner succeed this time. "Yeah!" He exclaimed, giving a sheepish smile for a moment before it faded, and he led the way to the next room.

The numel let out a cry as the zorua's claws hit him, turning and fleeing from the battle. Well, kind of cowardly, but a win was a win!

they both seemed to be doing well now! "These pokemon seem to want to pick a fight with us, but I don't see the ones we're supposed to be fighting," The tauros huffed in irritation, looking around the dungeon to see if the slugma were hiding somewhere and he just couldn't see them.

The room he found had no Slugma, but it did have a Vial of Smoke in it. Something he took with him on the off-chance it proved useful later on.
