Ok I know that you really don't NEED anything but what are the top 5 physical objects you must have for rituals, spells and plain old witchy behavior? Why?
1. Athame (I'm in love with my athame. Not really a wand person when it comes to directing energy)
2. Book of Shadows (I have 10+ years worth of knowledge in there)
3. Candle (most of my spells are done with candles. I'm a fire
element.)
4. Lighter (what good is candles with no source of flame?)
5. Tarot cards (preferably my dragon deck. They are my favorit divination tool)

I'm going to have to say its more like 7 or so as a few of the things listed are sets like candles and lighters and notebooks and writing implements
1: Altar or working surface of some sort
2: Candles & Lighters
3: Notebook(s) & writing implements
4: Wand or Athame. I go back and forth between the two
5: Herbs or Crystals (users choice)

The only tool I have that I use on a constant basis is my Pentacle wand, each side of the handle using a symbol to represent each of the four elements, a mark for spirit on the tip, and a pentacle on the end of the handle within an enclosed circle for all five.
