Ugh. Kinda crappy that they won't update the guilds unless they're profiting off them somehow. Gettin real sick of the GCash pushes lately. neutral

Of course I don't mind. I want every person on every guild to know. BTW, Narumi has been pm'ing me about all of this. I have them.

Convos (there were 2) between Narumi Misuhara and myself on PM- for some reason Screenshot isn't working for me so I C&P (the blue is Narumi) Narumi has not responded to the either of these sets of PM's again. And you will have to admit that he is right about one thing he says in the 2nd set of correspondence, the amount of anger I have is truly incredible- but it is deserved.

As this is a little old, you've now seen what is happening with guilds 2.

The COO put me in charge of Gaia, not Finance. Finance handles all income and expenditures for the company. I handle only what relates to Gaia Online, that's part of the job of a producer of a product.

And did you see what I put in SF? You screwed us again. And if I have any say in the matter, Guilds will never pay for the upgrades, at least not until you make the ENTIRE SITE MEMBRSHIIP pay for use and upgrades to the entire site. IT'S NOT FAIR! And you cannot earmark GC for a particular project. It may be legal but it's emotional blackmail you are trying to use, in my honest opinion. And you yourself said that all income goes to administrative costs first. I don't trust you anymore.

I am resigned to the fact that Guilds will not be getting upgraded until the next millenium or hell freezes over- whichever comes first. And please have the decency to reply to my SF thread that at least you will respond to me personally. That will end the thread replies.

I did not lie to you, in fact I was quite honest. I said right from the beginning I didn't plan to start guilds until the later half of the year, when that time came I was given directives and mandates that kept me from doing it, which is what I posted. I asked for the communities help on ideas that if good enough could allow me to justify the project and move forward with it. I'm not looking for things that should go in now before the next update, but things that will help compensate the cost of production. These are things that I could say "Hey, look, if we add this feature we can expect X Gaian's to use it and pay X Gcash for it and that totally makes it worthwhile to update the system."

The alternative is what I had to do with Frontier Skies, which I'm not willing to do because A) I'm not willing to and B) A lot of people do still use guilds.

Fixing glitches is a separate issue. I do not need to justify fixing a bug or glitch as long as it doesn't require more than a day or two to do. Only big changes to the system would count.

You have known for months things that we wanted and needed and you refused to do anything. How many thousands of guild members are there? Your problem is and that of the COO and CFO is they aren't from our kind of company, they come from different businesses. This isn't a retail or manufacturing company. This is a user based company. IF they want to lose business, continue on this path. Guilds are specialized forums, many Gaians, like me, don't visit the forums unless required- like now to gripe in SF. And I will not spend another penny on Gaia because it's not worth it. My only GC will come from videos and other free things. Get your money from the sponsors. Oh, and a good CFO/COO knows how to hire a good marketing team that can GET sponsors and advertisers. I am over 50yrs old, have been in the real business world for over 30yrs and I know how it works. Unless some rich entrepreneur wants to donate to Gaia, I don't foresee anyone being able to pay the price you are asking. Guilds will never be a money making.

I requested that the thread get locked because Calelith was starting to get rowdy and get off topic and I didn't want it to turn into another brawl. Uncle Kenny answered my questions and then he and I started talking in PM's and I asked him to work with the GGN Moderators guild again. I also asked that the previous thread get locked for the same reason. Calelith and Cecilia Davidson will not allow me to post in SF without bashing me, so once I get a Dev to reply, I ask either the Dev or a site moderator to lock the thread.

You seem to be pretty good at getting in touch with Narumi. If you don't mind, might I ask you to ask him precisely how the upleasant centering effect will make it's money back. I'm really just dying to know. Will they soon be rolling out a small, regular fee to make it go away?

Have they taken a dislike to you or are they some fools that are still white-knighting this dump?

I was being partially facetious, but there must be money in it somewhere. Their credo is to not do anything without it, anymore.
