The familar ache of his muscles and strain on his body was bringing a smirk to Akeem's face. He had spent too much time sitting on plush chairs and signing documents and not enough time bashing in the faces of things. The battle was less than pretty with casualties on either side, but the Aramilian Army was clearly at an advantage. Spells from the conscripted mages fired off like wild, lighting up the air with the signature vermillion light. The knights stood firmly between the arcanists and the advancing swarm of arachnids. In front of them stood the weapon masters and Akeem himself, engaging head on with the monsters. Every time he saw one of the fresh faced soldiers battling with all their might he felt a rush of energy within himself. Akeem had seen many wars and fights in their time and each had a deciding moment. There was the initial heated engage, the drawn out match up, and then the tip. This was where it was. Akeem stood in a boxer's stance, arms raised up to his head and remaining light on his feet. Around him were dozens of arachnids, a collection of their different kinds. He had been busy taking out one of the lords when they gathered about him. Unlike those generic scripted fight scenes, they didn't go in one at a time. A crawling feeling over his skin kept him aware of what was around him, and Akeem knew it was coming. Just as he was shattering the lord's frozen head with a punch the spiders that had tried to charge him were suddenly being rocked by a load of invisible strikes. To the keen eye it would appear as if Akeem's skin was rippling. This was his force, his natural djinn energy. Strike after strike landed and each time with more and more force. Then, once the lord was thoroughly dead he began to flit back and forth across the field. One second he was crushing in the thorax od a soldier and in an instant a fiend was exploding from the inside out. It was a terrible, beautiful, moment. That was the tip. The ranks of the arachnids broke and they turned to flee. A unified shout of triumph went around the Aramilian soldiers but Akeem knew it was not over. He raised his voice above the noise and shouted orders. "Mages, Knights, Weapon Masters: remain in Val-Ghast and begin the reinforcements! Free fighters, and others who are still capable of continuing follow me. We will hunt them to their nests and wipe them out!" Akeem's rallying cry brought many people to his side. Quickly teams were organized and created, each setting off after select retreating groups of spiders. Akeem's team would very plot conveniently consists of Saleria, Sophia, Lysandre, and Luka. "Come quickly! Do not lose track of them!" Akeem said as he started sprinting after the arachnids. They veerred swiftly away from Val-Ghast, avoiding main routes and taking a path that would not be easy to find unless someone knew it was already there.

              • +1 Rank Defense

              • Mind Games
The djinn have a permanent 'force' around their skin that will reduce incoming damage by a rank (excluding holy and unholy magic). This puts them on the same level of base defensibility as a werewolf, although they can't regenerate, so... At adept rank, this force can become amplified by the djinn's mind, psychomanually controlling the level of force in the layer of magic. They can apply energy to it to block all manner of attacks, meaning they don't really have to learn defensive abilities. It is really no more potent than any other defense of its rank, though.

              • Chi Sense
This is required for all Dim Mak techniques. It allows the user to see the flow of chi within any surrounding enemies in an area, making hiding from them quite useless as they pop up in their vision just as easily as infrared. This vision will last for five posts at a time, and requires a cool down of one post after usage. Once Stage 4 is learned, the negative effects of this technique disappear and becomes a passive ability of the user.

              • Light Feet
The user is able to lengthen her stride and step lightly when running, which is good for crossing large distances without attracting the attention of guards or scouts. They make little noise when running like this.

Nymn wiped the sweat off her brow. She was much too green for this job. She stared at the dead bodies around her and groaned. Bullets were so expensive. Shrugging her shoulders she turned her attention back toward the two stuck in the sticky trap. Tapping her head with a finger as she thought she took in her surroundings. 'Dead, dead, dead, twitching, dead, oh, what is that?' She thought as she noticed a dismembered scythe like appendage. 'Lucky me.' She shalala'ed herself over to it and picked it up weighing the slightly heavy appendage in her hand. Turning back toward the two in the net, which had accidentally gained another layer during the earlier fight, she carefully started cutting away at the fabric, each slice taking two tries before the gunk gave away. Quickly she worked until the mother and her child were free. Gratefully they thanked her as she cut off the last of the webbing from the woman's leg. "Last time I checked, that way was safest." Nymn said, pointing at the way she and the rest of the army had come, which was out of wherever they were. The woman nodded her head and hiking up her son started running in the direction that Nymn pointed. As Nymn watched them she felt a sense of importance, and then that feeling was pushed away by the sight of something shiny. It was the woman's dagger. "Hey, you dropped this!" Nymn called out to them, but apparently they didn't hear her. It was probably a stupid idea to leave their only weapon behind, especially since they could have sold it to get better clothes. The thing looked fancy. She looked back down at it, and then up at the disappearing figure of the woman. She stepped away from it, and then found herself stepping back toward it. Giving in to herself she bent down and picked up the dagger and placed it inside her dress which curled around it. 'I guess I can give it back to them later.' She thought. Deciding that it was probably best to keep moving, Nymn took a running start and climbed up one of the dilapidated buildings, using the broken bits as leverage, to get a good view of everything. She whistled, loading her right gun with bullets, as she watched the battles going on in her view. 'This seems like a total pain.' She thought. Feeling her stomach rumble, she reached into her pouch and pulled out a box of cookies, eating two before she replaced them. 'I didn't even get to eat before this.' Sighing, she replaced her loaded gun and hopped off the roof, heading deeper into the battlefield in an attempt to get whatever is meant to happen over quickly.

The Flame Typhoon

▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓

Saleria was healed up and ready to go as she began to run with everyone to get their way closer to the broodmother. As she followed, she kind of had gotten lost on a trail and ran into a bunch of webs. She quickly burned through them thanks to her body, but she had to backtrack to get back to her team. They literally made little to no progress with what Saleria just pulled as she seemed embarrassingly nervous from that transition.

Saleria listens as Akeem gives his order and starts heading in that same direction. After a few minutes, she loses sight of Akeem, so decides to not follow him, but keep going in the general direction in which the spiders he was pursuing were heading. As she continues to run in that direction, she comes across no spiders attempting to slow her down, so continues on her way with no obstacles as she heads to the nest.

The city's lights were dim. The name of this town was Velden nez Stahde. Since the colonization effort, they had done a significant deal of re-building of the town's infrastructure and they had fought eagerly for their protection. Ironically, as the war raged on in the Western continent, the continent of Essfraxon had been thriving, Aramil isolating itself and focusing on the growth of its colonies. This place, one that had been abandoned just a year ago, was an example of the growth resonating throughout Aramil: now people lined the streets, with market stalls and vendors and music playing from the center of town.

Did it make him happy to know that? Honestly, not really. Aramil would be a staunch rival once Valle was a Kingdom of its own. Still, until they too had joined the fray, he had found that their cities and towns were suitable destinations for expeditions, military training, and any getaway that didn't involve freezing out in Nocturne's wastes. "This place is kind of shabby, isn't it?" He asked with a small grin, his arm wrapping around Ambrosius' shoulder. "Ironically though, you can often find the best hotels in cities that have gone to complete bloody rubble. They just love their tourism money." As for where he'd find a nice hotel, he imagined the place with the best view - beachfront or something along those lines. Most of Kevai's settlements were on the coast, and the climate here was warm and forgiving. It was a land with a great deal of potential.

"Before we find a place to rest ourselves, why don't you answer me a question? You said we should catch up, but honestly... don't you think there's an area of information that we're lacking in? Who are you, what are you, how did you get here - all of that." He knew next to nothing about the man, and in contrast, Ambrose knew nothing about him either. "Do you have any family? Friends? You didn't go to anyone for solace when you couldn't find me?" Adriel's own family was unfortunately disassembled, so he would understand if it was a similar story. Nocturne was called the Nation of Orphans by many outsiders, and for a good reason. Bloodthirsty cunts didn't tend to have maternal, or paternal, instinct. "There will be times where I won't be able to be there for you, with you, or in the presence of you. It would relieve me to know you had some sort of distractions. Don't want you dawdling over me for too long - you'll go crazy." He almost laughed. He was a man of elusive nature. It would be difficult for Ambrosius to always keep up with him, no matter how strongly either of them were bonded.

Ambrosius's face was going to be home of a large grin for a long time he felt. The place that they came to was so staunchly different than that of Nocturne. It had been a long while since the Void Walker left the country, and so this was a large change of pace. He felt his grin grow even larger when he felt his Master's arm resting on his shoulder, indicating to all that passed that he was Adriel's. The feeling of belonging was one that Ambrosius missed the past several months, a feeling of dominance and security and safety entangling him.

It wasn't until Adriel stopped the pleasant talk and turned a bit more serious, several of Ambrosius's key words being used against him as leverage for a line of questions that he knew he was going to have to answer before Ambrosius would get where he was being led.

It wasn't an irritable sigh that the Void Walker let out, but it was a sigh of defeat, of being caught red handed, hand in the cookie jar if you will. "Sir, I understand that you want me to answer these questions before we continue to a hotel, but," He paused to take a breath and truly mull over his words, "I'd honestly, really enjoy answering questions like this... Not in public. I don't feel comfortable with the passing eye or ear hearing our conversation, and besides," Ambrosius put on his best puppy dog face, "I feel so awful in the sun. So, tired and in need of... shade."

Ambrosius hoped that his act would strike a soft spot with his Master and let him have his wish, even if it is just this once.

Perhaps surprisingly to Ambrosius, he was not reluctant to comply with his request. He wasn't someone who reveled in his discomfort or something like that; serving Adriel meant having, in return, his compassion. At least relatively speaking. "Fine. I'll tell you a little about me as we walk to a hotel." He paused for a moment, thinking where to begin. He supposed all he would need to do was summarize, and skip the boring details.

'I'm in my early thirties. People of my race don't age, so I'm actually considered exceptionally young for a Diabolos. My father and mother were both Diabolii, rather than a demon raping my mother in an alleyway or something like that. I was born in Valle, back when it was under Yuran's control. During the Human Prerogative, they racially cleansed the city and killed all of the 'unholy' inhabitants. As such, my mother and father were slain in combat while I fled north. Ever since then, I've been on my own. I enlisted with the military at the age of sixteen. Honestly, though," he paused for a moment - paused walking, paused all of his actions save for staring out onto the horizon. "I haven't really had anyone to go to in all these years. I've always found the people of Nocturne unpleasant, and difficult to make friendships with. If you recall when I first met you, I was unusually more crass and depraved. That's the exterior I present; it's how you need to act in Luimira. But, honestly . . ." The man sighed. "I couldn't give a damn about all the people there who think they're so unusually special just because of their immortal nature or whatever they have going for them. I prefer . . . humility." Which was ironic since he practically worshiped himself, but he usually didn't force the same standard upon his own rationale that he did others. In his mind, he was far beyond the average person, so he was exempt from such criticism.

"I think your humility is what drew me to you at first. And your willingness, your admiration, obedience. It feels good to be given such credence. Loyalty doesn't exist elsewhere in Nocturne. You are one of the few people I trust." He had spent a lot of time talking as they walked through the cobblestone path. He merely wanted to let Ambrosius know the sort of experiences he'd had; the reason he acted the way he did, and thought the way he did. Perhaps it was him justifying himself for treating the Knight before him as an object to be acted upon. 'Nocturne did this to me', he could almost hear himself saying. But that wasn't all it. There was an impure purity about Ambrosius that he felt comfortable around. His compliance provoked . . . honesty, while his inner thoughts and wants - which were plain for Adriel to see - provoked action, and need.

By the time he was done speaking, they had found a hotel. The Diabolos dropped a bag of coins on the desk, then rushed his Knight upstairs and to the room they were given. Most of the rooms were free, of course, as this town likely wasn't as popular a destination as most. But the rooms themselves did not reflect that; they had quality, and ornate richness. Luxury.

Their room was burgundy in color, with a silk bed. "Reminds me of our first bed." The man grinned. The coloring was similar, and the fabric was the same, though admittedly a bit more shabby than the one in Lumina Mira. "Answer my request - tell me a little about you. Then, please me." He brought himself to the edge of the bed, and began to remove his shirt, revealing his developed muscles and his altogether large frame. His amber eyes rested upon the vision of Ambrose's body. He waited in silence.

Ambrosius followed his Master like a stray dog follows a stranger in hopes of food: at his heels. He nodded and let Adriel know that he was interested in the subjects presented before him. He made sure not to cut off any of the stories and tales that his Master lay before him. His replies were small, short, and non-invasive. Ambrosius followed him all the way to hotel, to the front desk, to the room they rented. The Void Walker bit his lip playfully as he watched the a** of his Master sway in front of him as he was led to the room.

Now it was the Void Walker's turn to talk, but he watched as his Master slowly started to disrobe. He gazed at the demon's amazing physique, the muscles and the way they bulged. Ambrosius licked his lips subconsciously.

"N-now, about me, The Void Walker was suddenly nervous. He felt himself on display for his Master and he was weak. He took off his hat as he thought of a place to start, followed by his long black duster, and gloves, until he was just in a long black shirt that had flak laces to tie the top closed and long black pants with leather boots that ended right below his knee. He took a breath and swallowed nervously. "I-I was... He let out a sigh, "My name is Ambrosius Izual, I have an alias known as Ryan James, but I have also been called "The Corrupt One" or "The Corrupter". I... I am what is known as a Void Walker. I am, from my understanding, a personification of the Void itself. I've been around since the Void began. I do not know how old that makes me..." And this was only the start of Ambrosius's story. He would go on to explain that he had no family, in the traditional sense, though he supposed that any other Void Walkers would technically be a twin of his. He explained of the civil war between the Void Walkers that left the traditionalists dead, and that only the free Void Walkers were still in this plain of existence. He also mentions that because of the civil war, he tries to avoid violence, despite his purpose in life is to bring an end to others', which is why he prays on the weak, the old, the sick: Those ready to accept death with open arms. He quickly adds that he will still gladly help his Master in this war of his.

After talking and explaining himself for what felt like forever, he let out a long sigh and smiled softly, which quickly turned lustful, "Now, about that pleasure." He bites his lip as he walks towards his Master, discarding his shirt, showing his lithe and tone torso.
