A sleek figure emerged from the lip of the forest, one that was invisible before it came out of the shadows. Keefe had shown himself in the more open plains once more, knowing he was vulerable here, vulerable to attention. Keefe wasn't one for company, unless it was Naf's, and these new pups were greatly changing his usual routine. Now, instead of doing as he wished, he spent most of his time sneaking around, trying not to be seen.

The male hadn't seen or heard from his mate in a good, long time. He hoped she was safe. In his heart, he knew she was, she was tougher than he gave her credit for, but his mind wouldn't let him stop worrying. With a mumble and a sigh, Keefe trotted lightly to the creek, lowering his head for a well deserved drink.

Kendrick smiled, peeking slowly from the brush that sat just on the boarder of the opening, his silver eyes narrowed michiviously on the figore of the dark wolf. Always trying to get away... always trying to be cheap and deny him his lesson at greatness. Not today.

He slank quietly behind the wolf, keeping himself low to the ground, pausing whenever Keefe did. Once he was close enough he gave a loud attempt at a howl, aiming to startle the dark wolf.

Keefe was in the middle of lapping quietly at the water, when he heard a sound behind him. No, it wasn't the howl, it was foot falls. Keefe's ears pinned back, great, one of them had found him, and he was willing to be he knew which one it was. Suddenly, a shrill howl sounded behind him, Keefe had been expecting it. With narrowed but soft eyes, Keefe straightened up and whipped around, not even looking at the pup before speaking,

"Kendrick, where'd you learn to sneak, not from me I hope?"

Keefe's eyes windened back to normal, his voice sounded rather critical, but caring. He had always watched his mouth with the cheif's kids, but this one, this one Keefe didn't mind getting smart with.

"No... you don't take the time to teach me." He snorted, walking himself closer to the dark male, "I have to try to learn myself."

He wanted to learn, his father held Keefe at such high reguard he felt a bit jealous. The two would often walk together, hunt together, train and spar... they were so strong, so magnificant. Feanaro had left the training of his kin to the beta of the pack, trusting the dark wolf with the future of the pack's strength. "Why don't you ever take me out to train? At least I work hard."

Keefe tossed his lightly, he felt a bit bad for the kid, he rather seemed on his own all the time, but then again, it wasn't Keefe's fault for not being good with kids. To Ken's question, the purple beta simply shrugged, shaking his head to indicate he had no excuse. Keefe wasn't to such attention, it needed getting used to, it needed a lot.

"Fine, we'll go now, what do you want to learn Ken?"

Keefe nodded his head toward the beginning of the entrance to the rocky ravine, then nodded it toward the creek, the the forest,

"Rock climing, swimming, hunting? Little master, it's all up to you"

Keefe's amber eyes narrowed slyly, looking to the future of his pack with a hint of disdain, and a hint of admiration.

Kendrick's tail wagged a bit behind him as the bete agreed to the lesson for the day, his maw pulling back into a grin. He considered all the options laid out in front of him, his eyes following the gestures of the purple wolf. Rock climbing was still too much for his short legs, he was a horrible hunter, unless he wanted to chaise rabbits but he hadn't learned how to contain the excitement of a chaise just yet. "How about swimming?" He looked up with a smile, "Father said he grew strong by working in the river."

Keefe grinned lightly and nodded, looking to the creek before them. It was a calm stream of water, fairly shallow, it posed no danger to the young pup. Kendrick's father swam in rivers, the pup would start in puddles. With that thought, Keefe stuck a leg into the creek, followed by the other three. He stood back, the water at his elbows, and looked to the pup,

"Well, ever swam before? It's easy, trust me"
