SerenAur Jianjun watched as the selected group of warriors went back into the fray. He must admit, he wished he had been out there, defending the Carnival with all of his might, but neither he nor his daughters were much of fighters. Acrobatics were better served for show, not for strength. Mustering up his courage, he approached his lord. "My lord, how are things with you...? Amidst all of this chaos, have you at least found a bit of peace?"Venezia had grown tired of seeing his followers in such wounded states. Yet it is what they wished upon themselves. A sigh escaped his lips before he heard the familiar voice of the tiger he loved. "Hm..?" He glanced towards Jianjun. "Hehehhe.. there is never peace in the Carnival, you should know that~ No rest either..~" Venezia was always working on new things. Whether it be a new ride, attraction, or additions to existing ones. Always repainting, repairing, or finding new recipes here or there. He clearly was a jack of all trades, and although some would argue othewise, master of them all too~ At least where the Carnival was concerned.

[Let me know if you want me to be quoting you whenever I reply or not <3] Jianjun smiled as he carefully approached to his lord, his tail swaying to and fro in a paced, slow manner. He soon stood right in front of the jester and sat on his haunches as he has a tendency to do and made a pondering face. "Ahhh, well, at least you can keep your mind on more meaningful things, like the Carnival~" Jianjun said in a pleased tone. He had been practicing a new routine, but with the war, it had been hard for him to concentrate. Although, thoughts of a future Carnival made his heart feel light and joyful. "It seemed only yesterday when things were much simpler and all we had to worry about was the Carnival. But now with this war..." he said, trailing off. "It made things suddenly complicated, didn't it?" he said, ending his statement in a low meowl.

[Please~?] Venezia's expression although endlessly smiling seemed distant. His eyes at times gave away his emotions. It was awhile before he spoke again. "Yes... I admit I was wrong to go for and get us involved in this stupid war to begin with. It's exactly what the stupid brat wanted from the start. Heheheh... The only good thing to come of it was our alliance with Hexynia." Venezia wondered at times if he was a fool for not reaching out to more Gods for help. Or was he wrong to drag Hexynia forth in the first place? To ally himself with a Cursed, Venezia did not think was so wrong. He did not think it was what caused the Corruption in some of his followers. The Corrupter was mentioned, not the Martyr whom through poking around a bit Venezia found Morgana had joined. Whomever that might be.

Jianjun only shook his head and crawled over, leaning up and gently nipped at the feathers that were on Venezia's sleeve. The cat nature of his yearned to be touched. He closed his eyes and remained steady for a moment. "I do not think it was wrong of you, my lord, because as a follower of the Carnival, you'll always be right~" he said with a certain candidness. "I think a lot of us think the same way, too." he said and opened his eyes, looking up at the jester, who at the moment, seemed distant. While it was not often that Jianjun shared these private moments with his lord, he cherished them with intensity. Each time, he was given access to a certain side of Venezia that no many followers are exposed to.

One could call the tiger an overgrown lap cat and not be too far off. He seemed lost in his thoughts for a longer time before chuckling sadly. "Sometimes I wonder if what you say is true, my kitten." Some of the carnies would fight tooth and nail and give their dying breathes for Venezia. Others? Venezia was just sure they were along for the ride, waiting until something better occurred. And then there were some he couldn't peg. Soon finding that smile returning to his heart, Venezia chuckled some more as his head shook dismissively. "Ah well~ If I dwell on it I'll just get wrinkles~" He waited to see what the tiger would say.

He wanted more but is extremely satisfied with the absentminded touch at the moment. "...Hm." Jianjun only murmured as he thought about the same himself. "At least... you know you have true followers...dedicated to you and to the carnival.... They proved themselves when we were at our weakest state. Isn't that better than the mindless masses that follow other gods?" Jianjun didn't want to name any names, but he had an idea that Venezia who he was referring to. "No wrinkles, my lord..." he said afterwards, frowning.

"Far and few in between" The Carnival God caught himself saying but allowed himself to finish. "Hehehe... But that is life, no?" He pondered the situation for a few more seconds as his hand continued to pet the tiger before him. "Enough about me. I grow weary of the spotlight for a change. You - How have you been, my tiger? There must be a reason behind your visit."
