The next room might have gone as ignored as the one before it, had there not been a pokemon inside. The Slugma saw the distracted Fizzle enter and sprang into action, wanting to get in an attack before the little pokemon could fight back.
"Whoa!" Yelped Fizzle, caught by surprise.

Fizzle didn't have a chance to fight back, getting knocked back as the slugma landed on top of him. They scuffled for a little while, but fizzle just couldn't regain the upper hand he'd had in his other fights.
In the end, he had to retreat from the dungeon, or risk getting stuck there and in need of a rescue of his own.

Gasping for air after a long run, Fizzle found he had lost the slugma somewhere far behind him. Sighing heavily, he moved a hand over his heart, patting it lightly.
"Can't take too much damage!" he told himself, shaking his head. To think a rock had distracted him so much!
Oh hey, another stick.

moving to the next room, Fizzle found even MORE sticks. Not just one good one, but TWO.
Clearly he had found some amazing stick producing area, even though he couldn't see any trees. It was pretty intriguing to think about. Had another pokemon explorer used them and left them behind?

Hopeful that he would find even more sticks as he entered the next room, the young charmander was displeased to see that there was nothing of the sort to be found.
There was nothing at all- the cave was empty.

Fizzle wandered into the next area with a smile on his face, feeling like he had been doing very good on his adventure. Then, he saw something that nearly made him pee right there in the open.
Standing at the end of the room he had entered was a large, fully evolved Charizard. It looked at him and sneered, puffing out smoke in a threatening way. Fizzle took a frightened step back as the larger pokemon spread his wings, and even let out a yelp when it attacked him.

There was no battle.
Fizzle was too scared to even open his eyes when his larger evolution attacked him. How could a charmander hope to beat a charizard? He was sent flying from one attack, crashing into the mountainside before flopping against the ground with a heavy thud.
He couldn't move. Everything hurt. Everything was spinning. The charizard landed in front of him, picking him up and taking him off somewhere.
The whole while, he kept his eyes closed, too scared to see what was happening. After a moment, he felt himself hit the ground again.

Trembling, Fizzle opened his eyes slowly, seeing an empty room with no Charizard in sight. Quickly, he got himself to his claws, gasping as he spun his head around to see what was going on.
It looked like the Charizard hadn't decided to eat him or show him who was boss- he had dropped him off near the entrance to the dungeon. That was not a hint that needed to be repeated- Fizzle fled out of the dungeon as quickly as his legs would carry him.

Suddenly, Fizzle had a new mission: overcome his fears and fight that charizard!
