The night was quiet and dark--the perfect time of day, if you asked this fox. It was...blissfully silent, with only the cricket's minstrels to keep him company as he strolled down the street. Silver and black bangs fell into two-toned eyes in a shaggy style, but the oddity laid in the hawk-like claws on his back legs and the set of wings that graced either side of his head. They fluttered, tickling his ears, and he flicked them back in annoyance.
What he wouldn't give to be -normal- for once. Not just some...mongrel. He swallowed back a low growl--anger at himself, the result of bottling up emotions for so long--and shimmied into the nearest building. The scent of smoke and alcohol touched his nose, along with the low murmur of voices...at least they were quiet voices, even if it was a bar.
But as he glanced around, nerves getting the better of him, he realized exactly where he was--surrounded by males... Beautiful males. Oh... His chopstick swayed as he hopped up on the nearest barstool and leaned against the bar. Maybe he'd get lucky to find a pretty boy to take home tonight...
He could use it. He could definitely use it. He wasn't a stranger to one-night-stands. He preferred them...but if he was being honest, it was because he didn't feel worthy enough for a true mate. To be...loved like that? That's why he had a collection of smutty romance novels. He wanted that--that happily ever after...
