As usual, I like to cover all my bases. This is going to inevitably be one of them. Roleplaying one oh one. You read the guide help, but want a dedicated topic area that DOESN'T pertain to some RP we have here.
Setting? A school. That's it. Don't make it more complex then it needs to be. Who? You. Any random passerby who isn't keen on taking on werewolves. A new guildmember. Skills? One of them. All of them. Everything but making pretty profiles because that isn't roleplaying and can be done in the testing forum on the site.
If you're in a classroom, find a seat for example. If you're in the cafeteria, stand in line for lunch. This is the one place others can assist if they'd like and not have to follow a preset world or its limits.
They can quote you and beta-read your efforts, fix your habitual grammar mistakes, or even assist you in avoiding the creation of an OC that borders some god like Mary or Gary Stu.
Question the help on occasion if you don't trust their judgement, do not rely on firefox to correct every spelling error you make(You need to improve, it doesn't.), and it will require some effort on your part. The effort will pay off, even if you don't RP within the guild.

Key terms for your enjoyment: Non Playable Character-(NCP) a being controlled by the yourself on the chance you need to make some interaction to introduce your cast. EI:
Horror: zombies, werewolves, vampires, supernatural entities hell bent on kicking your ***. Action: Terrorists, gangs, thugs, natural disasters, anyone that comes with bombs. Community: School peers, parents, siblings, authority, your dog, the schoolbus driver Comedy God.(I'm serious. Dues ex Machina), the ex-friend, your mailman, any driver of any vehicle making you late, your dasturdly boss. Romance All of the above, including God; also...the mirror you, crowds, and that one couple your OC is jealous of.
Original Character-(OC)-a character that isn't from the canon work. EI:
Legolas and his many girlfriends (LotR), Riku and every ex boyfriend that never actually existed (FF), or Harry Potter and someone not created by JK Rowling. (HP)
Canon-original storyline ...quick spoiler? You had to log on to read this. Alternate Universe-a different storyline ...quick spoiler? You didn't have to log on to read this. Humanity is part alien and you loitered in bed and still managed to read this. Psychically. Setting ...where the frell are you? Plot It's that thing that makes a story..a story. Harry potter must defeat Voldemort, Mickey and friends must complete four challenges before heading back to the Clubhouse to dance... Characters That's you, NPC's puppeteered by the Host, or your fellow RP'ers. Role Play-(RP)-not yourself. Or maybe it is. Regardless, putting your Original Character into situations that are habitually brought up (zombie attack, seeing a desired love, finding out your Gundam is out of fuel) and reacting appropriately in a setting.
