It was suddenly bright, and the clap on the back only served to nearly startle Rodriguez R. Rodriguez off his horse.
How long had they been traveling now? It felt like days. With only a map! The execs really wanted to make this movie as real as possible. He scratched at his nose, taking care not to damage the funny-looking claw props they'd put on his fingers, for a dragon character named 'Aymet'. He could do with another stage makeup application, by now it was probably smudged.
"Can someone get me a coffee?" he called to the group, to another round of chiding laughter. "And maybe helicopter in my trailer, after we shoot this scene I am sleeping for a week and I don't care who has a problem with it."
One of the guys stopped laughing and started clawing at an arrow that was sticking out of his windpipe. Stage blood spurted everywhere. Were they rolling?
"Take cover!" he shouted, drawing his highly sophisticated prop guns. This was, after all, Mission Impossible 7 - Revenge of King Arthur.
Turned out yelling and waving guns around only seemed to annoy the other actor in the big suit. This was not what the script called for at all. Shouldn't he be falling over 'dead' by now?

Rodriguez knocked Steve into the path of the prop sword and scrambled for the building like everyone else.
Steve was a great mediator. He'd sort this out in no time.
'Aymet' remembered they'd said something about a 'hallway of endless torment', or maybe it was the 'graveyard of guardians past'?
He fished around in his pockets, but he couldn't find any copy of the script on him. In the meantime he dodged the majority of the swinging axes, and only suffered a few slightly too realistic arrows.

He had to admit he was impressed with the setup. A whole room of old-fashioned special effects. They were really going all Indiana Jones on this.
But apparently it hadn't been fully tested. Most of the tiles seemed to be spring-loaded to set off small annoying things being thrown in his direction, and one even sent up a big blast of fire that almost singed his beautiful screen-worthy face. He'd get his lawyers on the case for that later.
The fire alarms were probably going off elsewhere in the building. The sprinklers came on and soaked him.
The Gauntlet pt 3 - Mystic Tiles Starting/Current HP: 80 Ending HP: 51 The rolls:
The tile you step on gives way under your feet... and nothing happens. As you step on this tile, something wet sprinkles on you from above. Whatever it was, you feel better. Recover 15 HP. A tower of flame shoots up from the tile, badly burning you. Take 10 damage. CLANG! Something hard and heavy falls from the ceiling. You forget something. You activate a trap. Take 5 damage. You activate a trap. Take 3 damage. A companion reaches out and pulls you to safety! Nothing happens. As you step onto the tile, you are filled with a feeling of... elation...? Recover all HP. A companion reaches out and pulls you to safety, taking your place! Except... they're gone. Lose a companion. CRUNCH. You can still hear your companion's screams of pain as they suffer heavy damage. Take 50% HP loss (ie if you are 30/40, take 15 damage).

It seemed like the actor waiting in the next room was impatient with them. No wonder, with all that armor. It must be hot as heck in all of that costume stuff, and no one around to even help him get the helmet off.
They sent in Jesse next.

When they barged into the room some 10 minutes later, there was no sign of either the big guy or Jesse.
It was hot, and he was wet, and he needed a drink. So he took a sip of the water in the fountain and wondered when someone would finally call him about becoming an Avenger.
