Even if Lex's padding into the kitchen had been audible, Achlysia was off in her own world. Something seemed to change in her when it came to Feast Day, and it was probably the most relaxed one could ever find her - unless she was drunk or on some kind of drug. So the appearance of the midnight sky coloured panther was a bit of a surprise to her, and she would have jumped were she a weaker person. Thankfully the yawn saved her from any worse of a surprise, and turning around to look at Lex, she smirked at his sarcastic comment. "Nah, just a little something I whipped up in no time." Snorting a little bit at her shitty comment back, she eyed Lex as he decided to move from his spot on the floor and up onto a seat at the table. Feeling a little threatened at the panther creature joining her at the table covered in food, she calmed herself down; he'd have to share her feast at some point, so it was rather petty to be getting defensive over something as trivial as food. Ignoring the creature for a minute, his sudden question made her eyes snap quickly over to him, meeting the gold orbs with a slight glare. The glare softened into an incredibly amused smirk as she finished off her mouthful of creamy potato. Yep, Beta really was quite afraid of her.
"All of them are." Lizzy stated rather proudly, sitting up a little straighter, pushing a few things around on her plate. "The only one that isn't is Alpha, and because he treats me with some form of respect, I have no reason to dislike him or show him any malice." Shrugging, she took a few mouthfuls of food, and caught Lex's questioning gaze. Oh, right. She still had to answer the other question. Sighing, Lizzy put down her cutlery and rubbed her temples. What she did really wasn't that great, at least not in her eyes, but explaining it was kind of... Well, it wasn't easy.
"Look, what I do really isn't that fascinating. I'm the balance between Life and Death, to put it in the dumbest of terms." Grabbing her glass of cherry brandy, she downed the lot and got up to top it back up again, the crystal glass making a loud 'thud' on the counter top. "Alright. So.. Urgh, this is tricky. Basically, I'm the carbon copy of the Goddess Achlys. I am the mist that fell before the eyes preceding death. I am the personification of the Eternal Night, supposedly presaging Chaos. According to Hesiod, I am the personification of misery and sadness, and as such I am represented on the shield of Heracles: pale, emaciated, and weeping, with chattering teeth, swollen knees, long nails on my fingers, bloody cheeks, and my shoulders thickly covered with dust." Dramatically throwing her arms out as she recited the definition of her life, she slumped back down onto her chair again and huffed a little, swirling the brandy in her glass, eyes watching the liquid.
"What I do is... I keep the balance. As long as I'm here on Earth, Death can use my powers to reap, to hide in the shadows and to be the unseen bringer of death... Or salvation, depending on who you are. The real Achlys... They couldn't risk sending her here when the human population began to rise. Y'know how humans just breed like rabbits, without a care for how they'll survive or what it's doing to their planet." Snorting through her nose in derision, the woman poked at a few items on her plate that were starting to go cold. "Basically, what I physically do... Is nothing. I can't. My Goddess form was ripped from me when I left Limbo; my Traditional form appears whenever a particularly sorrowful death happens, which is a lot, and as you noticed no matter what I do I end up back here. Death takes his powers just by me being here; his rolling mists, the power to make a judgement over someone... Whatever Death does it's thanks to me." Waving her glass in a fraudulent show of joy, Achlysia slumped back in her chair. "I can manipulate darkness and shadows, create the most beautiful or bone-chilling fogs and shift forms against my will. That's it. I cannot die as long as Death needs me, and I find everything boring and pointless these days." Finishing off her plate after slamming down the crystal glass that had been emptied once again, the thick glass making a solid sound on the table.
Sighing once again, the woman sat back up and smiled an unusually disheartened smile towards Lex. "And that, is the bullshit tale of what I do." Picking up her own plate, she walked to the sink as flickers of shadow began to move about. The plates of food moved about like they had their own lives, making their way to the counters of the kitchen to one by one be transferred into containers for Lizzy to stack in the fridge. For anyone else that wasn't Lex or Lizzy, the whole scene would probably be rather creepy. In fact, it was just a number of shadow spirits, conjured up from the dark crevices located around the semi-dark kitchen. This process was repeated every feast day, and it was almost like the shadows had been anticipating their little mission, for within no time at all, all the food was packaged up, placed in the fridge and all the dishes were in the dishwasher. Pressing a button to start the washing cycle, the machine whirred almost silently to life as the woma hummed a little. There was literally nothing to do, she didn't feel like beating anything up at the moment, so the next option was...
"Time to relax in the pool. You should come join." With a smirk and a wink at Lex (the woman was just doing it on purpose to see his reaction), she began to remove the jewellery from her body, dropping them without a care. What should have happened was each piece should have dropped to the floor with a clatter, what really happened was each piece seemed to dissolve into a puff of wispy black fog, whisked away to fall gently onto her vanity unit in her bedroom. Why she'd asked Lex, not even Lizzy knew, since she wasn't planning to do anything to make him want to attack her (she was feeling very lazy) and she really wasn't planning on ever seducing him (except while intoxicated, and even then it would only be because of the liquor) because she knew what his reaction would be. It wasn't like she didn't have the urge, the woman had quite a high sex drive, but that was what trips out the house were for. Wanting an even bigger reaction from Lex, hoping to get him annoyed enough to follow anyway, the woman grabbed the waist of her dress and simply just pulled it up over her head, dropping the item to the floor to be whisked away to her room just like the jewellery. Lizzy though, walked without a care to the indoor pool room in nothing but her elegant undergarments. Ruffling up her hair, the undergarments were swapped out for a dark red bikini (skinny dipping was out of the question while she had a permanent house guest now) and the woman turned on the sound system that sent music flowing quietly through the room. Surprisingly, the music was classical.
Walking into the warm water, Achlysia did a few laps of the pool, swimming underwater for most of them. Talking about what she did often made the woman feel rather lost, since she really didn't do anything. Her existence was nothing more than a necessity for the human life cycle, and it was depressing. Sighing, this was perhaps the closest to seeing Lizzy at a vulnerable moment as ever. Sure she was strong, sure she had quite an abrasive personality, but deep down she was still a living, breathing being that just wanted to exist without limits. At least now she wasn't alone, which was a slight benefit. Maybe Lex would teach her how to train to become stronger so she wouldn't need the feast days? Then he'd have a purpose in the house too, considering right now they both really didn't have any purpose at all.

Lex eyed the food, golden eyes still questioning as he looked up at her, the return comment was fairly lacking in his opinion, maybe she was too out of it to put up much of a fight for him. How boring. As he would watch her eat he would remain quiet, eyeing her lightly as he looked between the food and her wondering where to focus his attention well that was up until she gave him a glare, if he was in human form he would have been smirking at that openly, but showing a toothy smile in his current form would probably look funnier than he would like. When she smirked at him after a moment he would look more focused on her, she would mention that all of them, he wasn't sure how many people there were, he only knew Beta, but clearly all of 'them' were afraid of her. When she mentioned Alpha and easily explained the relationship he would start to look bored again, talk of torment would be more entertaining than this nonsense that made her happy, he liked it better when she was mad, maybe in pain. He'd love to see her with a painful face. Tilting his head with curiosity as she would shrug and eat again, he would continue to stare at her with a look of waiting, expectation clear in his body language, he wanted her to talk about her job. After all only something so draining could make a need for this gluttonous amount of food, not that he really could complain, he could eat a lot as he pleased, but never cause he really needed to, not to mention he was unbelievably touchy about eating poorly made food. When she seemed to have understood his want to know about this job she had, he would smirk, she didn't like the question and yet she was still going to answer, how funny. Lex's tail moved about wavering lightly as he became bemused by her explanation, she was basically the powerhouse behind what people called 'death' here. In his realm it was just merely going to the "Beyond", whether you were evil or good you just merged back in with the earth, gracefully vanishing into the light when you have reached the time to die. No body left behind to mourn, just returning to energy, much less mortal in his realm as compared to here.
As she proceeded to describe the many tales about herself he would look mildly interested, he was fairly intrigued as to why she could not do the job herself, after all it was her power. Though it was best not to question it, as far as he was concerned people here were fairly ignorant, not to mention he was fairly ignorant of their ways as well. Watching her with a plain look as he seemed to be processing the information, as she would start to put the food away he would pull himself down from the chair and watch the little shadow forms carrying the food away to be taken care of. Stretching his body out as he would take advantage of his more limber form, tail lashing a bit as he would take a seat and start scratching behind his ear. Turning his attention back to her when she would suddenly invite him to join her in the pool, "In what part of that ******** up head of your's would even lead you to think I would do such a thing?" he questioned hotly. He still didn't like his last experience in the pool, being touched was a big no no for him. Though as he turned he was taken a bit aback, the look of shock on his face was only apparent for a minute before he managed to pull his indifferent mask on again, he didn't like expressing himself so freely. Huffing as he would glance around the room, finding nothing better to do he would reluctantly follow after her. Eyes to the ground, if he would have looked up he would have been level with her rather plump a**. He wasn't much of a sex guy anyways, after all he had things he didn't want so many times the thought of doing anything like that made him feel fairly foul.
Stopping at the edge of the room as he would glance up to see her doing something, the sound of music suddenly filled the room and he would glance about taking slight interest in the sound. He padded forward, feeling the splashed about water under his paws as he listened for the woman to appear from her underwater adventure. Though he was caught off guard when she popped up before him and instinctively he moved back but the spilled water behind him cause him to twist around and fall forward. Falling head first into the water his tail disappearing before it was even submerged in water, he turned back to normal underwater and he quickly surface breathing a bit heavily since he wasn't exactly expecting that, "Damn." he huffed throwing a glare at her as if it were her fault he had fallen in to the water in the first place, "Tch." he hissed at her as he would wade into the deeper part of the pool, "Do you always run around half naked around the house, or is that something you do just to get on my nerves?" he grumbled wanting to get mad at something that wasn't his own fault. He was really touchy, not to mention he forgot he looked a bit different from before. ______________________________________________

How comical, he'd actually followed her. The comment he'd let slip earlier had lead Lizzy to believe he'd go off and do his own thing like she'd been hoping, but the fact he'd actually followed was even funnier. Catching him off-guard while he'd been padding around in the puddles from her diving in, she watched the panther creature fall headfirst into the water, his tail disappearing before he could even become fully submerged made her grin a little. As a flesh-coloured shape appeared under the water in the somewhat dark room, there was a definite smirk on her face. She wasn't laughing - yet - only because she'd fallen in a number of times herself doing the same thing. Still, it had been quite amusing to witness someone do it. Putting her hands up in a 'hey, not my fault' kind of way, the grin on her face gave away just how amused she was that this happened. What, was he trying to blame her for his own misstep? Oh how cute. He'd changed forms rather quickly, something that was mildly impressive, but at least he was clad in a pair of black cotton boxers; Lizzy felt like she might have been unable to hold back some rather choice comments. Simply waving at the male as he hissed at her, his next question was something she had been expecting, and just let a wider grin cross her features.
"Uh, yeah. Dude, I live alone. Well, used to. I just... Dress how I want, do what I want... It's not like I have anything to do here." Hitting the water with an open palm, like she was trying to swat it away from herself, she sighed and leaned against the pool wall, arms stretched out across the tiles to keep herself afloat. "What about you, Lex? What makes you tick?" Looking over at him with eyebrows raised, she smiled a normal, friendly smile. "Like, seriously, I want to know the basics about you. You can be as basic as you want if you don't want to actually tell me s**t. I don't care, it would just be interesting to see what kind of being you are. I'm not thick, we come from the same breed of creatures - the ones that live in the darkness." Wriggling her fingers and donning a dark voice like someone telling kids a horror story, Lizzy fell silent, giving Lex time to talk, if he wanted to that was.
Frankly, Achlysia wasn't too sure if Lex would open up much right now, in fact she was expecting him to say very little about himself at all. But while she was a rather domineering woman that did what she wanted without caring what someone thought, Lizzy could admit when she needed to just step back and show people that she wasn't such a thoughtless b***h. Aside from that, she was honestly curious about Lex; he looked normal, especially now with his shaven face, but he had this large cat form with freaking metal claws on his tail. If that didn't make him an interesting specimen, the Lizzy frankly had no idea what did these days. Lost in her own thoughts as she floated about, waiting for Lex to either answer her question in a short, sharp and shiny manner or if he was going to surprise her, Lizzy stopped floating and quickly stood up. Without caring if she was interrupting Lex, she turned to him and voiced her sudden idea. "Dude. We should organize some kind of training thing." Looking bright-eyed at Lex, she seemed almost overly excited about her idea. "Like, you teach me how to get physically stronger or some s**t, so I don't have to gorge myself on so much food. Might make my life that much easier." Chuckling, she swum around a little bit. It wasn't the stupidest idea she'd ever had, and it would definitely provide some distraction to their rather boring home life.
"But let's not start today. Today is a relaxing day. I promise I'll dress as normally as possible from now on. Scouts honour." Holding up her hand and chuckling, she splashed at Lex playfully, purposely not trying to actually get him with the water - the last thing she wanted to do was piss the man off so early on in the day.
