Mark walked out into the hallways looking upon the school for the first time. It was odd. Not really like any school he had been in before, while the actual scenery might have been off that's not what he was referring to. There were no people here besides him. Normally it would be expected that at least someone would be walking the halls or that some sign of life would be around... however... If he really had hit his head and forgotten things then it could be a time when people were asleep... or just elsewhere. If it was him and he had to wash clothes then the most likely time he would go is late in the night to avoid people. It was not too much of a stretch to think that coming to a new school he had wound up avoiding people as he had at his previous schools. Taking a moment to lean against a wall he started to think, what WAS the most recent thing he could remember? Straining his mind he pushed aside the dream he had earlier... He had been shooting before leaving... his father had taken him to the school wishing him good luck and telling him to make something of himself... and what else? Had he reached the door? Anything beyond that point was just gone... black as night.
Looking around suspiciously he decided that it was time to investigate. It seemed odd that if he was in the school that he could remember nothing about being in it. It was quite possible that he had passed out at some point and someone put him in that room... shaking away the thought he continued walking. He had promised himself he would try not to be as paranoid at this new school, he would try not to see the worst situations and would instead keep a cool rational head. Walking along the long hallway with many doors he stopped to look at the plates which were sitting on each of them. Each one had a name as well as a small picture of a person. More like a doodle... what did they call this style of art? Shaking his head the word wouldn't come to mind, he had never really cared about art... much less something like this that had barely counted. Looking at each room on one side he turned to the other walking back down the line... until he came to... his door? A small picture of him was there in the same style as the others. He looked at it with a bit of shock. It seemed that he was expected here... or maybe he had been living here before. He attempted to open the door but having no luck he shook his head. Of course he wouldn't leave his door unlocked if he had a choice. Checking his person he found nothing that could be used as a key... well nothing at that. It wasn't odd really he rarely carried things around with him, he did not have a cell phone or even a wallet. He had never needed one. He would wait to panic till he could find someone to talk to about what was going on. Maybe his key had been broken and he was waiting for a new one? Maybe they had not even been assigned yet? That would mean he had not been here long and would solve the issue of not remembering the school.
Turning away from his door he spent a short time investigating the rest of the doors. All of these were people he was pretty sure he had never met before. Fifteen doors in total, the number seemed odd how it was so small... but it was not something he was too suspicious of. A school of this type had to have some decent funding behind it as well as some rich people coming through often. It wouldn't be odd to have small sections like this at multiple places all around. Hell it was a setting he kind of prefered, it lowered the chances of him running into people when he didn't want to. As well as it explained the issue of him seeing nobody in the halls, fourteen other people could easily be off elsewhere. Giving a small nod he walked back to the main 'Plaza'. It seemed almost odd in it's simplicity, lacking decorations in the wide area. There were a few doors around and he planned to look into each room soon.

Mark began his search without much delay. He need to look around these rooms and see if he could find anyone. The first two obvious rooms were the bathrooms, it was quite possible that somebody was in there... and if there was he would probably inconvenience them but it was something they and himself would have to deal with. Stepping into the mens room he gave a shout to see if anyone was in there, finding no response he did a quick sweep of the stalls and confirmed that all of them were empty. With a shrug he headed out of the room to stare at the entrance to the female restroom. It could raise an issue by him going in there... But it wouldn't hurt to shout from the doorway. Stepping into it he let out a shout though this time it was a bit weaker, "Is anyone in there? Sorry if it's bothering you but I could use some.... uhm... help." Finding that there was no response to his shouts he stepped away. It was probably for the best, if he did end up encountering someone he would rather avoid an awkward situation as much as possible. He was aware that when it came to talking with people he was a little... rough. That situation could have turned out really... bad.
Thus far he had found no kitchen, it would probably be one of the remaining doors nearby he hoped at least. If there was not one they might actually be in each individual room but that would not be best for him... He really wanted this place to have cooks, he had never learned how to make food himself. Well it was more like his attempts failed miserably. It seemed that there were a lot of things he was just plain bad at, no matter how much time and effort he put into it. Except archery... I hope I find where my bow is soon... Just ten minutes of that and my nerves will finally calm down... He pushed the thought down, it was a meaningless thought. He was stuck without it right now so he would just need to deal with it. Turning to make his way to another door he noticed that people were actually coming out of it.
Two women, and much to his distress they both appeared to be taller than him. It was a check that he made every time he saw a new person... to check if he was actually taller than the other person. It was a test that he very rarely passed and when he did it was almost always because the people in question were children. He had been mistaken for being quite a few years younger many times, maybe he should start carrying around an ID? The first of the two women was a large person, more than a foot taller than he was. Long black hair and a general... air to her that some people might refer to as... 'Badass'? Those kinds of people tended to be the ones he rather disliked, they always saw some kind of gain in reputation by assaulting him. It was curious why society seemed to reward the large for beating those smaller than them.
The other girl was a bit shorter, though still a good half foot taller than him. Long blonde hair and a cheerful air about her. He had seen these types of people before though they ended up more rare than supposed 'Badasses'. He wasn't sure what to think of the woman yet, time would tell but if she was here there was something most likely special about her... and the other girl too at that. Super High School Level Badass? Would that even be a category for this school? Realizing he had spent a good few seconds just staring at them he let out a nervous cough as he turned his head away."Uhm... Hey." Was all that he could think to say to the two off the top of his head.

Luck has never really affected me one way or another. I'm just lucky enough to have my can-do attitude and the likability of a shark... So I've been told." By many people. Then again, most people has either been stupid when approaching her or had been her competition of some sort, and you were never going to do well if the tall woman saw you as competition. Never. Still, she would always take that as a compliment to her strengths.
She heard someone give an awkward greet and looked over to the guy with minimal interest. Not for any dislike of him... He just didn't particularly stand out aside from the odd gloves on his hands. "Ah, well, seems we found him pretty quickly. I guess that saved a lot of time." She shoved her hands onto her shoulder and leaned more on her left foot, causing her hip to lean out slightly in a relaxed, but still rather intimidating way. "Alright, well, I guess I'll go ahead and lay out who I am to you as well so we can all get introductions over with. I'm Cherelle Lourencea, the Super High School Level Chef." God, what a pain. You know what, no more introducing herself until she knew the entire damn class was around. "Alright, so, I still don't know your name," she said to the woman she had met in the cafeteria, and then she turned back tot he man and pointed a hand to him, "and I just saw you, so ahead and tell me who you are and why you're here and we can stroll towards the stupid orientation thing to figure out where our stuff is. The sooner I find my knives and cigarettes, if I'm that lucky, the better. Last thing I need is for someone to toss a law suit at me for them chopping a finger off or whatever." End Location: Living area hallway ѺѺȻ :: Just to let you know, checking the maps would be greatly appreciated-- there is no way of entering the kitchen without first going through the cafeteria. I'll go ahead and pretend she hadn't seen him or whatever. In the future though, make sure to check the map at the top of each thread, especially in the halls and such. Edit:: Yeah. The spoor and fork are the cafeteria, and the other is a chef hat for the kitchen. It's like that because under normal circumstances students wouldn't have to go into the kitchen to get food, just enter the cafeteria and be served. ▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓▓

"I love sharks, they're the Queens and Kings of the sea. Everything seems to just bow down before 'em.. Well not the Japanese.. I don't suggest going there, they might try to make you into soup." The blond giggled a little at her stupid joke, not really sure how accurate her joke was. Is that Japan that does that..? Hmm.. She didn't have a clue if it was true or not so she stopped thinking about it all together. "Well they are beautiful and strong, maybe that's what they meant?" So much for keeping the compliments down. She looked away from the chef to see a small boy. Wait what? A double check on the kid left her slightly confused, not that she let it show. Shrugged it off, just going to assume he's also a student until he says otherwise. Its not nice to stare.. Why do guys do that? Wait, no. Don't ask stupid things, even to yourself. It might come out if you get too stupid. But she is a hottie, of course he's staring. Heh, even I am!
"Hello li'l birdy." She couldn't help but give him that nick name, with how meek and shy his first words were it made him seem like a baby bird that lost its way. She gave what she hoped was a non-threatening and friendly smile to him, on top of the other hopes she hoped he'd understand the little before had nothing to do with his size. Ugh.. I need to edit my words before they come out.. Damn it.. The girl came back to reality when the hot shark spoke to her. "Oh, my name is Elizabeth Smith. Everyone calls me Pallas though, and, as you already know, I'm super high school level Good Luck." Feeling a little silly about the "super high school level" thing she looked down at her feet, wondering if she'd ever get used to the strange ways of this school. The mention of Cherelle's missing knives brought her back into the conversation, "There were some nice looking knives back in the kitchen, up on the wall. Even if they aren't yours I'm sure the school will let you use them if we don't find yours." Pallas laughed about the talk of law suits, "I hope no one is stupid enough to try that, I mean they knocked you out and stole your things. Whatever they get they so deserve." Where am I?: Living Area Hallway. {{ooc: I cut the shark thing way down, they're awesome but I don't think you'd want a rant on their awesomeness. XD}}

Mark managed to catch some of the tail end of the conversation... whatever they were speaking of had to do with... sharks? He didn't really know much about them and not actually caring enough to put more effort into the thought. The woman introduced herself as a Super High School Level Chef. Before he really had time to think about that however she essentially demanded his name why he was here and then started talking about something else before he could even answer. Sure he didn't respond instantly but hell this was something he avoided normally. With that... she had essentially dismissed him. b***h... was the word that came to mind... and then the second girl began to speak.
What did she call him? WHAT did she just call him? She seemed to insist that he knew she was Good Luck. But also introduced herself. That made no sense, why would she introduce herself if she knew him? She was just raising way more questions than any answered. But then she also responded to the -other- question of the first girl. She had dismissed him just as simply as the first girl. With a growl he glared at the second girl, this 'Elizabeth' and finally said, "What the hell did you just call me?" He realized what he had spoken aloud and took a moment to step back and take a deep breath. This was not the way to make first impressions, even if they couldn't manage common courtesy he could... he could attempt at least. It was never a strong trait of his.
After a moment he felt he had a better control on his anger, he was still quite upset with these... people. But he would deal with it. He could stay calm when it was needed, when he put his mind to it. Lord he needed his bow. An hour... no even half would ease his rampant nerves. Looking away from the two once more he began to speak,"Tch... I'm... Mark." He didn't really want to follow the woman's orders. This Cherelle person, but starting an issue with the first people he met would not be productive. "I'm here because I woke up here. I don't know why or how. I suspect I might have hit my head but the lack of pain says if that's the case it was a while back. I'm trying to find out the why and how."

Oh, she could egg him on right now... But she wouldn't. The guy seemed like the type to bring a gun to school and shoot his classmates if brought to it, and something in her said that was not the person to make an enemy of in a school like this. "I hadn't quite meant here as in directly here.... But I guess now that we know you're in the same situation as us, that has one more question answered. I meant what is your title. Ah, you know what, this stupid Super-duper-high-schooler bullshit is already getting annoying to say. Why don't we all agree the titles can wait until we find our classmates... Unless you're objected to it." She glanced to both since the girl had the option to leave and do her thing too, but for some reason Cherelle felt like she was perfectly fine with sticking with the head-strong chef.
That was fine by her. Honestly, she didn't like the idea of being alone in this place. She wasn't particularly scared, but there was something unsettling by the lack of windows and the large metal sheets heavily bolted to the walls where she assumed natural lighting would be coming out had a window been there. However, maybe this guy felt right at home. Whatever. So long as he learned quick not to snap like he had once already towards Cherelle, she really could not give less of a damn about the company she kept. Other than being tightly wound, he seemed alright. Even if she knew his talent, she probably wouldn't feel particularly worried around him since what was he going to attack her with? His fists? He could try, but even without his height added to the scenario, she still had an advantage. Those who tried starting s**t quickly learned that a combination of long and muscular legs from the hours she spent standing and running around the large kitchen of her restaurant and her indifference towards people that ran deeper to the sea was practically lethal combination that ended with her getting suspended from multiple schools, hence why she was trying to be on her best behavior now. Pallas jumped a little, obviously surprised and a little shocked at the boy's tone, his sudden change didn't help her nerves one bit. But at least now she knows how he reacts to being called little, if it was meant in a mean way or not. She did not like his tone one bit, it'd have to be fixed. It just isn't fit for someone to speak to two young ladies like that. "I called you a little birdy. Now if you don't like the nickname then say so, there is no need for that language. I did not mean to offend you." She frowned a bit, her eyes watching him with concern; like a parent that just caught her child's hand in the cookie jar before dinner. She couldn't help but worry about the boy's upbringing after he went off like that, it made her worry for his sake as well as for his future. "I only called you that because you looked like a baby bird that has lost his way. It had nothing to do with your size its just what you remind me of. It wasn't personal at all." She hoped she had covered all the bases and wouldn't get anymore attitude from this boy, she wouldn't take this attitude from friends and she wasn't about to take it from a total stranger. "I am sorry I didn't make that clear to begin with, I don't mean to be rude it just comes out like that sometimes.." She was very pleased when he took a moment to calm himself, Maybe he's just in a bad mood? He just might be in the same boat as us, not everyone is relaxed as I am about the missing items..
"It is nice to meet you Mark, I hope we don't have silly misunderstandings like that again." Her sweet smile was back on now that things were getting better. "I don't mind waiting, it'd save some time if we do wait. Plus we wouldn't have to say such a weird thing so many times." It made her happy and a little excited that Mark had started to open up, then again what didn't get her excited? "Have any of your things gone missing Mark? It seems we've all woken up in strange places without our things.. Well, that is if you are missing your things." She motioned back to the cafeteria's door without looking at it, "We were just lucky enough to find someone else right away." She thought back for a moment, "Oh and we were talking about the orientation earlier; there's always people there passing out maps and stuff. I'm sure we'll find our things once we find some staff or at least students that have been here before. You could join us if you want, since I think we're all heading the same way. I'm sure we all agree it'd be nicer to go as a group than all on our own." Where am I?: Living Area Hallway {{ooc: N/A}}

Mark couldn't help but cringe. Looking at Elizabeth he responded, "You really know the things to say to piss people off." With a deep sigh he let it go. The girl seemed genuine in her sincerity. If a bit... ditsy. Shaking his head he listened to the rest. That's when a chill went down his spine, they were both in the same situation? They had just woken up here without remembering why they had been here? How... No that question wasn't the one of real importance. Why was the question he should be asking, the how could be figured out later. He had done the best to push down the paranoia he normally had bubbling to mind but this changed things. He'd need to take things one step at a time and if these people were in the same boat as him it would be best... to remedy first impressions.
"I can answer both questions with one shot. I'm an Archer. They took my bow." He couldn't help but pause there. They. He had become convinced someone was behind this the moment he heard others were in the same situation, it was too much of a coincidence. They both seemed to be rather calm, assuming that this was some kind of natural habit of the school, everything would be okay when they went to the orientation. He doubted it, he wasn't a trusting sort. If they turned up and everything was explained... okay but until then he was going to stay on edge. "If you believe they are going to be... handing out maps and other things at the Entrance hall then I guess we should head there. I don't know if..." He stopped. There was really no reason to clue them into his suspicions if they ended up wrong. It'd just end up with unnecessary panic. Then it would lead to more awkward social encounters later on and if best he hoped to avoid that with future... neighbors? Dorm mates? Whatever the correct word was it didn't matter right now, he'd consider that later. "Nevermind. I don't know where I am so I'll just follow you two." Hopefully they'd find people passing maps out and happy chattering classmates. He'd just fade into the background get his bow and shoot for a few hours.

"Hey now! Cut that s**t out, a**! You can clearly see Pallas meant no hard by the nickname. Now ******** apologize for that snippy little comment before I give you a reason to not like me." She could understand they were all stressed, but at least the two women in the area managed to keep their calm. She understood everyone dealt with stress in their own ways, but now was not the time for anyone to be rude and snarky towards one another.
She looked to Pallas, eyeing her for any sign that what the boy had said had hurt her in any way since she had the feeling she might take things more sensitively than herself. At a glance she seemed fine, so she changed the topic back to something Pallas had mentioned. "I wouldn't be surprise if the knives here are great and all, but the ones I have were a birthday gift from one of my idols, and it'd be a shame to let something that was engraved with my chain's logo and kept in such fine condition to go missing." Hell, the fact that said idol had even once been at this school was the whole reason she brought them. She had hoped it would give her some luck, even if she had just said she didn't really believe in it. More like she seeked a connection with this person and hoped that having such a possession would give her confidence like they had during some of the cooking competitions she had brought them to.
She looked around and saw something small and shiny hidden in a fake potted plant. She went over and picked the little objects up. Coins? And odd ones. Ones with what looked like a kind of creepy little bear. Well... Whatever. She went ahead and pocketed the things. Maybe it would be useful at some point. She then took a look to the sign at the open door which seemed to lead into a dark hallway t what she assumed to be the school.
"Hotel Despair? What the ********> Maybe her Japanese was off? Well, no, that couldn't be it. She'd lived in this damn country since she was four, so that was a pathetic excuse to make for the odd sign. She walked to the marble sign and ran a hand over the surface. It felt like someone had sanded over whatever had once been engraved in the stone and crudely, yet effectively replaced the name that had been here before. "Welp, I've had my dose of crazy for this area. I think I'm just going to go ahead and assume that this is the way to the school and hop the nope train to ********. You two come if you want, but I won't bother stopping to check the scenery until I figure out where the hell the entrance hall of the school is." With that, she gave a two-finger salute to the two of them and walked off into the main level of the school. She sense both would come with her at least majority of the way, but it was really no loss to her if either of them strayed off and did their own thing. Not like she has really gotten to know the "Good Luck" and "archer" that well, though she could already figure out which of the two she would get along with and which of the two she would probably ending up butting heads with this point on. Pallas was clearly touched by Cherelle coming to her aid, by no means did she ever want to start a fight let alone be the cause of one but the thought was very heart warming for her. People never did stand up for her she was usually the one standing up for everyone else, even though being the defended was a new feeling for her it wasn't a bad one, not at all. She kept her smile up and closed her eyes, much like you'd see in an anime; if this had been one she would have grown puppy ears and a tail and that tail would be wagging like crazy. The boy's tone didn't concern her any longer, she was far too lost in her own cheery thoughts.
Her eyes opened once again as the chef spoke, now the concern was back for for Cherelle's blades not the boy. We have to find her knives then, they're much more important than anything I brought.. I hope the staff didn't take her knives away because they're dangerous.. Soon she remembered how the knives in the kitchen weren't locked up at all, so that thought was thrown out right away. "I know we'll find them. I won't give up till they're back in your hands, you can count on that." Pallas promised, more for herself than the chef, knowing if she didn't she might give up on it. She can't give up on a promise, not ever. I can't let something so special stay lost.. Hearing about the bird's missing bow just lit a fire under her; she was now determined to find whoever stole their things and make him or her apologize for it. Missing her things was okay, she had nothing really important in her bags to begin with but stealing sentimental things was not forgivable. "I'm sure we'll find your bow as well, it must be important to you so that's a good enough reason for me to look for it as well." She gave the birdy another sweet smile, hoping his bad tones were over and that he'd get his head out of his a** and realize she was just trying to help. She knew she'd want help finding her things if she had lost such personal things, so it was only right to help someone else in need. Of course she came off as a helpful idiot to people, but only the true idiots couldn't see her reasoning behind her actions.
"I bet all of our questions will be answered soon, but worst case scenario we'll get the cops involved and they'll have to find our things." With that Pallas followed her hero shark and motioned for her birdy to follow along, moody or not she didn't want to leave people alone. He did look lost and nothing is worse than being lost and alone.. Well, so she thought. The small changes in the school did creep her out a little, "hotel despair" wasn't very inviting and she couldn't help but think of the song about a hotel you could never leave. What was it called again? Hotel California? She hoped they weren't in California, heck she had no idea where she was other than in a strange school; her parents took care of the travel and she napped the whole way. Safe to say she had more than enough sleep today. Where am I?: Leaving the Living Area Hallway, heading for the Entrance. {{ooc: Pallas is gathering animals! First a shark, now a bird. What's next?
