H o l l y xi H o l a h a n Pain is temporary; quitting is forever. Holly had eaten quickly. It was her first day, and she didn't want to spend her entire break in the cafeteria! She'd actually intended to leave the grounds briefly, but a familiar boy caught her eyes as she began to cross the bridge. How many times was this, now? Three? Four? She sure seemed to run into him a lot! She couldn't complain, though. He was actually pretty nice to her! She'd been rude and needy, and had probably come across as clingy for how often she ran into him. He hadn't made mention of it though – he hardly seemed to mind. Aside a few off looks, he didn't seem to question her odd ways, and she kind of liked that.
As she approached, she noticed that the new student seemed rather downdraught. Had Athena worn him out? Was he missing home? Holly would try to cheer him up, either way! “Hey there,” She called out, approaching the boy, and sitting down beside him. “First day not going too well? You look down.” She was direct while voicing her concerns. She'd never been good at beating around the bush! Maybe Lel would appriciate that, though? He seemed similar in that aspect – he had been fairly direct while pointing out the sludge on her shoe, after all!
She paused for a while, and looked down to the water below. “How about a battle – you and me?” Holly suggested. “Not on the bridge, but still.” She lacked great strength, and possessed less talent for battling than some of her peers. Hopefully though, she could lift this guy's spirits! Her day had been long enough – she could only imagine how he felt! Stranded in a different culture like this must have been hard! Lél
Lél looked over as a cotton-haired girl came over. It seemed like he'd be running into the same people repeatedly. So, he just let it happen; there was no point in fighting it. Like she seemed to like to do, she went on in a babble about him. What was with all these girls? He stayed silent for a while. He wasn't the best with words, and he knew it. Then she surprised him: how about a battle? He stopped in mid sip of the tiny soup cup in his huge hand and looked over at her. With a smile, He patted her head. She'd at least cheered him up a little bit. Though, considering that most of the girls who "challenged" him had basic level pokemon, he didn't think much differently about Holly. She didn't make a wager, but she also never showed him her pokemon.
He took a final gulp of the soup, and pointed a large finger back across the bridge, "Tas ish infirmry." There was still one more class, and Miksa was the only one who could perform for today. He wasn't snobbishly avoiding a battle--he'd be happy to take a challenge just as soon as the next class ended and he was free from the boundaries of the school. "Jou not battle much?" He looked down at her, now somewhat curious.

H o l l y xi H o l a h a n Pain is temporary; quitting is forever. Lél pat her head and declined her offer – he had a Pokemon in the infirmary, so it made sense that he'd need his other for Contest Coordination. Holly wasn't too disappointed – she hadn't felt like battling much, admittedly. If it could cheer someone up, though, she was all for it! Lél's hand made it's way to her head once more – the second time for today. She didn't bother fixing it, though – the breeze going by would just throw it back into a mess.
It seemed as though the Hungarian saw right through Holly, too. “Well, no.” She sighed a little, still wearing a smile. “I don't win often, either.” She added, chuckling softly. Sad, but true! She hadn't added that many of her opponents belonged to criminal syndicates, but saw little point. There was no need to brag! “Arcanine and Steelix really like fighting though – I should more often, right?” She thought aloud as she looked down to the water. Perhaps this year, she should put more an effort into expanding her skills? Battling against Lieutenant Artemis last year really made clear how much she needed to improve. “I've never used Mareep or Togetic to battle, either – I should see how they do.” She added. She hadn't the foggiest clue about Mareep, but Holly was at least partially confident about Togetic. It had belonged to her mother for several years – there was no way it didn't have a few tricks up it's sleeves! Lél
Lél grunted. All curiosity had left. Yet, she hung around. It was a great deal of awkwardness on his part. "I trrain jou, He finally concluded. Of course, that was always the solution in his experience. When something couldn't get done efficiently, training was needed. Teaching by example was the biggest part of it.
Out of habit, he glanced over to reach around for a drink, and was sorely disappointed to find nothing there. With a frown, he thought a moment, and looked back at his companion. "Vhere jou get drinks?" He asked her. Though, he doubted that she knew anywhere. She didn't look like the type to drink anything more than milk and water. But so did most of the people (student or teacher) around the place. "Day goez better afftr four drinkz." Four seemed a bit excessive (depending on the drink).
