When Zien said his thanks and got ready to say goodbye, the old man, Caiine, replied with "It's all my pleasure" his voice rusty and old with age. "Have fun, and never be afraid to explore the unknown, there are even things i havn't seen yet" he said, smiling towards them. Karuso stood up, and having bagged the items he was given he nodded tot he scholar and said "Thank you, don't worry about seeing us out, we've got it". Horad lifted a hand to accept.
Zien's signature grin told Karuso that he was okay, that perhaps their future looked brighter here, and Horad even said they could go back, so... they could still see Naminé and Satoko, Dawn and Lumina, their boys won't be gone forever!
Outside the door, he closed it firmly behind him and took in a deep fresh breath of the air, it was mixed with scents of the sea and freshly cut grass, but it didn't seem like any grass around here was ever cut. "perhaps you're right" Karuso said, letting the breeze move through his hair.
"about staying here, i mean. For all anyone could know, i'm a Daywalker." he gave his long favoured friend a grin, his pearly white fangs bared, reassuring him that this adventure will be great.
"So" he said, looking around and then behind him behind Horad's home, great spires pierced the clouds. "I know he said we could go to Neutral City, but how about we go see the Library of Kuj'anast? I'd like to gander at the books there"

"Thanks a lot old man..." droned the elemental with a backward wave as they walked out his front door. Taking two steps outside, Zien noticed the difference in smells of this world and the other they came from. Plus it felt charged as well, once calmed down and able to focus properly he could feel that.
This world may not turn out to be so bad, but Zien's thoughts were interrupted as Karu spoke up. A raised brow as the young man's response as he wasn't sure exactly what the 'Daywalker' meant by that. Karu elaborated though and he smiled as he turned to face his comrade.
"You are," he stated enjoying the sight of a full smile like he was graced with then.
Hearing the 'So' that soon followed though, Zien had a feeling he wasn't going to be too fond of what was coming. And sure enough, the elemental was right, but neither was he going to argue with it. "Fine...you wanna go to a dusty old library then fine...but you owe me one. And complain when I use you as my only source of amusement...because you're the one that took me into a library..."
Huffing he could just imagine it. Bored out of his mind and taking long naps on boring old books because he was so bored. Or accidentally letting his thoughts slip and light something on fire.

Waiting for the elemental to reply and give him his 'okay' for the next trip, he didn't thinkt he young, spontaneous blonde would be all that amused by dusty old books and dark corridors, more than likely haunted. But he agreed nonetheless so that Karuso could have his bit of fun, or more so the other way around by the sounds of it. Zien would often use Karuso as entertainment when he got bored, something Karuso had gotten used to.
Taking another breath of the surroundings, Karuso took a few steps forwards before pulling his head over and replying "I think you enjoy using me as you're entertainment more than you let on, really, Zien" he teased, looking away again, beginning to walk away. After a few moments he then added "With haste Zien! Take too long and I'm going to require your aide in reading all the books"
((okay, so, he's got to the teasing/flirting stage...))

Standing there still taking in the scene, the land would take some getting used to. It was different yet similar however, just different enough that it nagged him with the knowledge of being in a completely different world. Karu speaking about how he enjoyed using him as a means of entertainment more then he let on, well it caught his attention for sure. However, what really did and caused a sense of warmth to grow in his cheeks was the teasing almost flirtatious tone Karuso had used.
It shocked Zien to the point that he just stood there as the vampire walked on while he stared at his back unblinking.
Took Karu yelling and threatening his help with reading that got Zien chasing after him in a huff. "As if! You wanna go there, then all that reading is your problem...and I have no clue what your talking about regarding that entertainment comment...you're just a good cure of boredom....though still a stick in the mud tho," the elemental teased back with a cocky grin.
((yay flirting/teasing at last))

Teasing was a new thing for Karuso... he coudln't explain it either. He just always felt... better around Zien. His young attitude and playful guise, and behind it was that loving kid. Karuso could tell Zien was shocked, by the seconds without reply until he called for the elemental, threatened about reading, something Karuso enjoyed a lot actually.
He tried to deny anything about the entertainment. "Okay Zien" he said, walking still. "You can have fun in the spooky corridors"

As the teasing tones continued, the elemental continued to dwell on the immature side of things and stuck his tongue out at Karuso. "I will just you wait and see."
Yes, he could be a bit of a child at times, however, Zien was well aware that Karu enjoyed it. It also got him to less stiff and the 'stick in the mud' he referred him to earlier and on several other occasions. The Vampire Knight was well onto his way to being 'normal' ish.
"Come on then...sooner we get there the sooner its over with...."
