Nieve had been too focused on making more words out of the stones to hear the scuffling, and when she was tossed behind Wylie she grew confused. "Why-" Then Wylie began on saying that something was there, and that it was invisible. Doing as she was asked, the smaller girl placed a hand above her friend's and created a nice snowball in the palm of her hand. She began to wonder what was there and why was it there. She heard the scuffling and shrank behind Wylie a bit more.
In hiding behind Wylie like she was, an old memory popped up. She had to have been around eight and at first she remembered the yelling. It sounded oddly like a younger Jarlan which made sense since it had been. He was going through one of the many mood swings he didn't have control over and all Nieve had done was try to fix his picture! Suddenly he was chasing her and swinging his fists and trying to think quickly, she scrambled behind Wylie - shrinking smaller and smaller to hide better. "Jarlan! Jarlan stop! I didn't mean to! Wylie help me!" Tears spilled out and she continued to sob.
Shaking her head out of it, she made a few more snowballs, holding them in a small ice box in case Wylie needed anymore. This had to be a place deep down in her mind, she hadn't even remembered that old memory, That only worried her more, if something was this deep down could it be messing with her when she was conscious?

Wylie felt the slight, cold weight as the snowball fell into her palm, and she gripped it gingerly. Tilting her head, Wylie tried to listen for the scuffling again, as she moved slowly, keeping Nieve behind her. Once she heard it, Wylie spun, and threw it. The snow flew through the air, and for a split second Wylie thought she had been wrong- until the snow impacted onto the things... face. Wylie realized with dawning horror that the image the scattered snowflakes had revealed was a spider. An eight foot tall spider with eight bright red eyes. "I pissed it off."
Backing up, Wylie grabbing Nieve, and swung towards the gate- which slammed shut right as she approached it. "Damn." Turning back towards the spider, Wylie stepped forward. What should she do? She had to be careful of Nieve's mind, which meant no gun- if she even had any in this flannel get up. And the spider was mindless, no imagination for her to peer into. It shook the snow off it's face, and now all there was to track it was the fleeting glimpses of its bright red eyes.

Nieve watched as Wylie was focusing, and then threw the snowball. Once it made impact, the short girl gave a gasp - that was a big spider. She wasn't exactly scared, but why was that thing in her head? She didn't voice it knowing that if she had no idea why it was there, Wylie probably wouldn't either. "I'd say you did." Getting pulled along by her friend, she kept looking around to see if she could keep track of where the new found enemy was. It was in vain of course, anytime she'd catch a glimpse of red, it'd disappear and show up somewhere else.
"Well, the exit's blocked and there's a giant spider. Time to fight our way out I suppose." She muttered it, not sure how much she could really mess up while here. Not only that but fighting something invisible? She had to be crazy. Her first tactic, trying to freeze it whenever she saw the flashes of red. The problem with that was that as soon as she went to hit it - the red popped up elsewhere. All she was accomplishing was freezing the area around them hazardously - a few places actually accumulating enough to form spikes. She was only growing frustrated the more she missed, and that was definitely showing on her face.
Jarlan pushed on until he had hit where snow was falling. He held his palm out - catching a flake. 'I gotta be close.' Groaning as he walked on the throbbing and most likely swollen ankle, he finally spotted Iniko. What was he - the girls weren't moving! The throbbing forgotten, he ran over, trying the help get them to wake up. He was growing concerned as neither woke up but there was one concern that was hitting his brain the most. Nieve had been sleeping in a self-made freezer for years - he knew she would be fine in the cold whereas Wylie. . he was pretty sure she had the same resistance to it as the rest of them.If they don't wake up soon, we have to move them." He looked up at Iniko to make sure he heard him.
