Rojand turned to see a fragment floating behind him, as though waiting for him. He reached out and took it, a swift snap of the hand to make sure it didn't decide to dart away.
"Why?"
The whisper left him oddly shaken, but the feeling slipped away as fast as it had come, and he carried the fragment back towards the shrine.

Impah returned to the ruins, looking for the small lights that held fragments. her hand reached out to cusp one, holding it tenderly to see if it would solidify for her to take to the Goddess of Ruin.
When it did, she brought it to her chest, keeping hold of it and running back to Ruin.

Loffie wasn't happy about having to return to the Ruins, the neon still glaring obnoxiously in front of his eyes. But he needed a fragment, so returned he had.
Thankfully luck wad on his side, and the moment he entered, a glowing orb flitted past. Having the element of surprise to bank on, he snared it, grabbing it roughly into his hand.
"Gotcha."
But his victory was short-lived, the fragment once again triggering three words in his head, in a familiar voice.
"I love you."

Thean returned to her home. It felt good to be back in her own surroundings after traveling to all the different places. She sat down on a ruined bench and relaxed, thought about what she had gone through. She had not been thinking long when out of the corner of her eye she saw a light. Was it one of her little light friends again? She turned and sat up. It was it was! She ran after it to grab it. She loved the warmth they gave off.

The light darted into an alley and Thean followed. It perched up high on a rusty stairwell. Though dangerous, she walked to the ladder. She climbed up carefully and quickly grabbed the light. She climbed back down as quickly as possible and jumped off. She walked out of the alley and decided to go and see what it could do.
[Enter] Feeling confused and wondering why a heavy sense of dread was crawling down her spine Nerrisa walked the ruins. She felt so alone, she wrapped her arms tight around herself. Slowly she let go, she couldn't keep trying to hold it in.
Let it go
You don't need anyone, you don't need friends, you're in control, you can tell yourself where to go or what to do, what are friends compared to that?
She reached out as a floating glowing fragment passed her.

Angry as the floating little orb flitted from her touch she pursued it, such a simple thing she wanted to touch one and every time they evaded her! She walked after it and reached out again only to have it drift away easily. Cursing she scrambled after it.

It was such a little thing! She almost tripped as she followed the dancing orb, it seemed to be mocking her explicitly.
Why does it matter? I should just let it go...but I can't even answer my own simple questions so is it such a little thing to want to see what that is?
Flustered she kicked aside a bit of rubble and snatched at the fragment. She gasped as her fingers closed on it and she heard something.
"I just wanted someone to talk to," Nerrisa blinked at the voice and then shrugged, it was odd, she looked down at the fragment, well at least she felt a little better about it. Stupid thing.

[Wyng enters from Rico's Pizza]
Tired from dragon fighting, Wyng returned to the Ruins, only to find Ruin there, waiting. Upon finding out that she wanted a fragment, Wyng went out to find one for her.
After a while, Wyng found one. Remembering how they seemed to avoid her, Wyng snuck up on it, managing to grab it.
"O course Ah love ye ma lassie..."
Now expecting this oddity, Wyng wondered why this phrase sounded so familiar, as if she had heard it recently...
