Preface Now people, this is just a few things that you need to read before continuing on. Are they rules? NO!! I hate rules, but sadly I have to have some up or people will just do what they want. No one likes a unbeatable, controls everything and everyone type of person now do they? I didn't think so, but this is just a few things I think I should let you know ahead of time, some of them might sound like rules and they just might be. But anyways lets get back to this info.
1 - Now this RP has no set genre. Meaning fantasy, SyFy, Romance, Comedy, and things such as that. So don't advertise this RP to someone and say that it's SyFy, because if they check it out they may see that it as Fantasy, so don't get peoples hopes up when they ask what genre it is. If you really wish to intrigue them, tell them it is a mix of all genres. Anyways, there is no set genre for this RP and that is that. 2 - ALL of your character profiles should be posted in the RP's profile thread, as I find that as a RP progresses a persons character changes. Due to some anomaly, they could change their point of view on life and become a better/worse person than they already are. They may even feel like changing sides sometime in the future, maybe because they feel like it, or they meet the most beautiful woman in the world. No matter the reason, everyone's characters will change. 3 - At the bottom of the Character layout, there will be a section called 'Journal' this is for your personal use, which means it is for you to type what has happened to your character so far in the story. I must ask that you update this weekly, because there are some people who like to just read RP's and only follow one character, but they don't like searching for that character. So I find that it is best to have a journal for your person, that way it makes it easier for those people to follow them, it is also a great way for you to watch your character grow and change. 4 - Now, everyone will start out with one character. Well I can handle two, so why can't I have two characters? Well it is because 1) It gets kind of hectic when one person plays as two separate people, especially when those two people meet up and 2) I have to be able to trust you before I let you have another character. Well what do I have to do to earn your trust? Well it is rather easy, just be active and post. When you feel like you have been active enough and posted enough, then PM me and I will let you know. 5 - The environment is alive people, there are many civilians wandering the streets and police officers wandering around trying to keep the peace. So don't expect to be able to kill someone in the middle of a crowd in broad daylight and not have anyone notice, because let's face it, everyone will notice if some random person just drops dead. Also the weather changes occasionally too, but I will be in control of that, along with the time of day. So no arguments! 6 - FOLLOW GAIA TOS!! This is a given and is always a rule in all of the other RP's, so just please follow it. I don't want to have this RP shutdown just because some idiot couldn't follow the ToS. Also some RP's have been torn apart all because of that one idiot and I don't want that happening to this one, especially with all of the time that I put into it. Sooo.....yeah, just follow the ToS that's all I really have to say about this one. 7 - We have an OOC for a reason. Is it for you to argue with a fellow Gaian? NO! You can take that s**t to the PM's because the rest of us don't want to read what two little children have to argue about. The OOC is for you to converse with your fellow Gaians in a calm and friendly manner. It is also there for you to plot with others, like if you have some huge plot that could possibly change the course of history as we know it, tell the others about it and ask what they have to say about it, but any huge plot that does that, please let me know about so I can approve it. Now little plots between characters doesn't need my approval. 8 - We have finally reached the last little tidbit of information. Now within this part we shall discuss literacy. Yes, that's right. I said literacy. Got a problem with that? No? Well that's good. Now, in terms of literacy minor errors are ok and they do not bother me. I know there was a point in time when even I, yes I, have made mistakes and I know that we are all learning. I also know that all of us have writers' block every now and then, and that's ok I understand your pain. But remember, the environment is always changing so use that to your advantage, and use the reactions of other characters. With all of this in mind, you should be able to pump out at least a paragraph when you have writers' block. I consider a paragraph 5 sentences or more. EVERYONE needs to post at least one paragraph and at most 4 paragraphs. Now, the first post is an exception and you can type as much as you want with that.
This is everything that I wanted to let you know about and I know that it was kind of lengthy, but if you made it all the way down here, then Kudos to you. I'm glad I still have you here and you may now continue on to the rest of the RP. I hope that you will find this as fun and entertaining as me.
Walking along the shoreline near dusk, you smile to yourself and soak in the last few rays of light. Hues of oranges, blues, and purples are scattered across the sky and mixed in with the color next to it. Suddenly, you see a glistening out of the corner of your eye and you turn your head to look at it, but there is nothing there. With a shrug of your shoulders, you go right back to walking and a small seaside cabin comes into view, you smile because the place is familiar and the old gentleman that lived there would occasionally take people on a boat ride, for a small fee. There is a man standing near the cabin and is singing a mysterious tune, one that you didn't recognize and seemed like it came from a far off land. As you slowly approached the man, his features grew ever more animalistic, then he turned to face you with his emerald green snake eyes.
"Oh, hello. I didn't see you there, can I ask you a quick question? Do you see that in the distance?" The man asks with a quick motion to the outline of a city in the distance, with a nod of your head the man immediately claps his hands together with a smile. "Good, that means you'll be able to return home. What do I mean? Oh, well you see, there are a few people born in each generation that can see the city of Isis Theta, these people have a hidden power that can be awakened by the elders once they enter the city. You are one of these people and I am proud to be the first to meet you. Oh that's right, I forgot to introduce myself didn't I? Well, my name is unimportant, but people call me the gatekeeper because I am the only one that can let people into the city." The man said with a sense of pride as he eyed you curiously with his snake eyes and then turned to face the city. Taking a step into the shallow water, the waves ebbed around his feet and it soon pooled around him. With this, you took a step back in amazement, but was soon engulfed in water and you closed your eyes as a flash of light appeared.
After opening your eyes, you notice that you are in a rather dark room, a lone chair resided in the middle of the room. Feeling like it is the right thing to do, you sit down in the chair and look about the room that was now dimly lit. Three figures stood in front of you and they slowly approached you, till they only stood a few yards away. "We are the elders and we wish to welcome you to the city of Isis Theta." the man in the middle said and looked at you directly in the eyes with his purple ones. "Before we unlock your powers and release you into the city with the rest of your brethren, we must ask you to choose." The elder on the left said and as soon as he was done, the elder on the right chimed in, saying "We each have our own faction and each one of us want to control the city for one reason or another."
"I want the city, so we can keep it secret." The elder in the middle said
"I want it, so I can integrate it with the rest of the world." The elder on the right said
"And I want it to control the rest of the world." The last elder said and looked over at the other two, then back at you, the person sitting in front of them.
"Now we must ask you to choose." All three of the elders said as they looked at you. Once you made your choice in who to follow, that elder stepped forward and placed a hand on your chest, and their other hand on your forehead. Feeling something stir inside of you, you close your eyes at the overwhelming feeling of pleasure and then you open your eyes again, only to find that you are not in the same room that you sat in a few seconds ago. Looking about the place, it looks like a small apartment that now belonged to you and smiled when you saw a suit and weapon laying on a table.

The Rules Now I know that nobody likes rules. Hell I don't even like rules, but they are necessary for all of us. Now we all know the basic rules, like the no god-moding and time skip when things get spicy in regards to romance, so just keep these things in mind. Now onto MY rules, now I know some of these rules will probably repeat some of the ones that you have probably memorized, but bear with me here.
1 - If anyone has any questions I'll be more than happy to answer them and try to help you to the best of my ability. 2 - I am god of this RP and what I say goes. Not like I will say much anyways. Though I might add a few plot twists. 3 - Please try to let me know when you are going to be gone for an extended amount of time, also tell the people who you are RPing with. I will make your character an NPC and what that means, is that they'll be going about their business during the duration of your departure (No, no one will be playing them. Not even me.) Once you get back for your absence, you can pop back into the RP without a hitch. 4 - Make sure you have fun and make sure everyone else has fun too. 5 - People will die, but only if both parties agree on it and they let me know. 6 - Don't alter the Character Layout too much, in other words don't take anything off of it. 7 - I can and will add more rules as I feel like it. All new rules will reside underneath something that looks like this ~New Rules~ 8 - Make sure you read the History and Lore, this will help you out quite a bit. 9 - Post your Profiles in the Profile Thread

i dub this genre "fiction fantasy", as it is very much fiction (full of lies) and not true...
i thought about joining...till i read the history and lore, last thing i read... i like the set up you have, sounds like fun, journals are nice, but the lies (fiction history) was too much for me... sorry?
