Mafa's usually low head rose up to Rasuli's comment. Yes, that was correct, no way were those filthy cats going to take over their home. The lions may have had more in number, but they hyenas reigned in mind and heart, at least that was how Mafa preferred to think. With that thought, Mafa sighed a tired sigh, it wasn't that late at all and she had been sleeping just before the males had dropped by, but this pup was not just sucking nutrients from her body, but it was sapping her of her energy as well.
The grand female's head slumped back down, her icy eyes closing momentarily. They then quickly opened, blinking a few times and focusing on Rasuli. She nodded wearily,
"Yes, you do that Rasuli, and Tukutu, it'd be wise if you did too." Mafa sighed again, her eyes moving to Tuk and then to her skull, "As for me, I need rest, I cannot wait until this crap is over with"
Mafa rolled her eyes, shaking her head as the little pup squirmed within her. Soon, it'd be out soon, she could feel it. But for now, she needed a nap. With that, Mafa left the two males together, taking herself and her little unborn pup into the skull den for the time being.

Tukutu, silent in all this manner, gave Mafa a nod before turning to Rasuli. He didn't much like this little runt, but it bugged him in a way of jealousy, and not standard dislike. He grunted and moved out of the skull that they were in, his tail swishing behind him. He should probably try to befriend the little juvenile, but at this point, he didn't want to bother. All he cared about was making himself comfortable, and keeping away from the mood swings that mafa carried around like a disease. Maybe after the pups were born, she'd go back to just being plain snappy.

Rasuli watched quietly as Mafa made her departure. He couldn't help but wonder about the new pups. What would they be like? And how would they change things? Certainly an increase in numbers would strengthen the pack... but would it move him lower? Probably. He'd have to work hard to stay close to Mafa and the top. Ah but if he recruited a new member or two he'd certainly be in her good books!
A small grin growing on his face, he turned to go start looking and then remembered Tuk. The large male hyena seemed to have something to do with Mafa's pups. Or at least knew something about it, the juve thought. And that was something Rasuli didn't want, he needed to know too.
Trotting after Tuk he quickly drew alongside and gave him a toothy grin. "Well Tuk, want to go find other hyenas.... like Mafa said?" Not that the younger male thought he really needed Tukutu's help. "Pup's are good and all, but they're small. Need some big hyenas too, to match them lions."
