Roll a Nine: Seashore Field: Split down the middle between land and sea, this field compliments land and water type pokemon. On the west end of the field is the land section: fine grained sand gradually slopes downward to meet the salt water on the east end of the battleground. A single palm tree wavers lightly in the breeze while shells are scattered in random places in and on the sand. In the water half of the battleground, the water laps at the sand much like at a real beach; when it retracts it leaves behind strands of seaweed and pieces of coral. Both are found under the water, offering shelter for water-types (or those who can hold their breath for great periods of times). This field gives a 25 HP attack boost to GROUND and WATER type attacks.

Katori was nervous, this would be his first Pokemon battle since he'd rehomed his last Pokemon and he'd quit drinking. So far his only real battler was his newly aquired Cyndaquil Danae. He'd watched her get dumped by a careless trainer who'd wanted a stronger Pokemon without trying to help her level.

He wouldn't like battling but Danae wasn't the type to sit around and be a companion like Angel and Icefyre were. He smiled as he thought of the bibarel and the arcanine. He'd been lucky to have gotten those two, they were good company. Danae flared her flames a little, bringing Katori out of his daydreaming.

"Alright alright Danae, get ready" he smiled at the feirce little Cyndaquil. She was smaller than usual but she more than made up for it in fighting spirit and he again wondered why that trainer had abandoned her.... Anyway .. fight time. He smiled over at the other trainer as he watched the Hoot-hoot flying around while Danae stood on guard right next to his leg, waiting for the time to go to the area to battle.
