In a song called "I Am" what does KAKERA mean? I assume its supposed to be written katakana because other capitalized words look and l sound English like KURASU (class, right)

I just can't determine what KAKERA is... sweatdrop

Sometimes, katakana is used for words that are Japanese in origin. It can be for the effect of emphasis.

Kakera (欠片) means shard. Generally you don't see it written in kanji, in my experience. It means something like "broken piece" "fragment" "shard" etc.

i know nothing.
