A place specifically for students. There are three couches in the center forming a U that faces a TV mounted on the wall, some single desks along one wall for working, and several tables with chairs for group studying, games, etc placed around the room.

really awkward formatting issue that this somehow fixes... Kamden Roy Keith [enter from Grand Foyer] After he fled from the disaster-waiting-to-happen atmosphere of his sister, Kamden decided to wait out the time before classes in the student lounge. There was nobody there when he arrived, so he grabbed the remote and flopped down on the couch facing the TV. Flipping through a couple of channels, he came across a local news station, and figured he could catch up on all things Atlantean. "Reports of pollution are coming in from various parts of the city after
the recent oil spill. Cleaning crews are doing their best to solve this
problem as quickly as possible, so rest assured that our beloved city
will be spick and span in no time." Kamden yawned and stretched, then lay down across the couch in a more comfortable position as the reporter continued. His eyes drifted closed, and he fell into that sort of half-asleep stage - not really listening, but not asleep either. ((OOC: ))

Tori sighed as he strolled into the student's lounge, he had just arrived and decided to stroll around but after awhile his feet started to hurt so he decided to relax in the lounge. He wasn't expecting to see anybody but from the guys body he seemed to be half awake and half asleep so he decided to not bother him. Tori quickly sat down on one of the couches and started to watch the news. He then pulled out a cigarette and his lighter and lit it up and took a deep drag before blowing the smoke away from the other guy so not to disturb him 'I can see why Granny wanted me to go here, this place is nice...' he thought as he took another drag and blew the smoke away from the other guy again.

really awkward formatting issue that this somehow fixes...Kamden Roy Keith A few moments after Kamden had closed his eyes, he heard another student walk in. Halfway opening one eyelid, he saw that it was just a guy, and closed it again. He heard the newcomer sit down on another one of the couches, and then a click, like that of a lighter. Huh? he wondered what the sound actually was, since he couldn't think of any reason for the guy to use a lighter in here, but wasn't curious enough to bother opening his eyes again. But then he smelled smoke. "What the-?" he murmured and sat up, looking over at the student on the other couch. The smoke was being wafted away from him, but in such an enclosed space, it had still made its way over. "Aw, man, seriously?" Kamden said, with an almost whine-like quality to his voice. "No smoking inside, dude. You new here or somethin?" Light, that smells horrible. Why would anybody want to breathe that on purpose?((OOC: I can't find your character in the accepted profiles forum. Did you not add it yet, or am I just completely blind? ))

Tori glanced over at the guy on the couch and sighed in annoyance, he hadn't had a smoke since yesterday and he was getting antsy but he obliged the guy and pinched the tip of the cigarette, putting it out. He then sat back on the couch "Yep, just got here about twenty minutes ago..." he said, glancing at the TV "Name's Tori, you?" he asked as he drummed his fingers on the couch, partially from boredom and partially from how he only had two drags from his cigarette, which wasn't quite enough.((OOC: I don't think you ever added him to the accepted forum for some reason, you did give the OK though sooooo razz ))

That explains it then, he thought as Tori introduced himself. "Kamden," he answered, and then said, "And you should have gotten a copy of the rules, you might want to read those before you do something stupid." He smiled afterwards, realizing that he might have sounded rude, and decided to change the subject before he could get called out on it. "So, uh, what do you do then?" he asked, knowing that almost everybody in the academy had some kind of power or something that made them stand out from regular human society. ((OOC: Haha no, once I approve him you make your own thread lol ))

Tori glanced at Kamden with a raised eyebrow "Before I do something stupid eh...?" he mumbled under his breath as he heard the Kamden change the subject. He doubted just by looking at the guy that he was no enemy to the order so it was safe to tell him "I'm an Assassin, not the kind that use Snipers but the kind that walk with you in the crowd, stab you in the back, and get away completely unseen....if you don't get it I kill people for a living....Oh and I see ghosts too...." he said bluntly, no point in sugar coating what he did for a living. He also figured that he may as well mention the ghost thing as well, as silly as it sounded.((OOC: Whelp that's embarrassing lol ))

"An assassin, huh?" he said, his voice slightly strained. "Sounds really, um, fulfilling, and stuff. And ghosts too, wow! You'll have to, uh, clue me in if I'm being haunted or something. Um." A true sissy through and through, Kam was not at all comfortable making friends with a professional murderer slash ghost ambassador. But then again, he didn't want to be on his bad side, either. Luckily for him, the bell rang before he dug himself into too deep of a hole. "Oh, hey, look at the time!" he said, trying to move quickly to the door without seeming anxious to leave. "Gotta head to class, don't want to be late on the first day and all that. It was, uh, great to meet you Tori!" he added quickly, the last part said over his shoulder as he passed the door. [exit to Demonology] ((OOC: no worries ^^ ))

Tori just sat there when Kamden left and a large smirk crossed his face before laughing somewhat loudly as he wiped tears of mirth from his eyes "Ohh that was great!" he laughed as he stood up, people always reacted differently when he told them wht he did for a living but that was by far the best reaction. He then calmed himself down he got his old neutral face as he lit his old cigarette and walked towards his class (Exit) ((OOC: ))

Walking in the lounge, Raphael let out a small sigh. Of all things, he never wanted to come to a academy for many of reasons, but the main being that there would be a lot of people, and Raphael hated to talk and meet new people. He always thought they were speaking about him behind his back which made him more and more paranoid. He was just thankful that there was nobody in the lounge with him, which meant that he could just sit down and relax for the time being until he went to the dorms, which he wasn't looking forward to since he would have to get to know his roomate and for all he knew, they could be a huge jerk, or a loud mouth. Either way, Raphael wasn't excited about meeting him/her...
Raphael walked over to the couch and sat down his stuff. He then sighed as he pulled out a book from his bag and opened it to the first page. The book had about 300 pages, and he was excited to read it. And since there wasn't anybody in the lounge with him, he could have some peace and quiet while reading the book until they got the whole dorm situation fixed since he hadn't heard where he was rooming yet...
