Devil: *Having worked up the courage to leave his home or more a hunger, the hart had managed to wander down towards the closest river.*
Cataleya: Soaking in the cool water, her scales glisten from the sunlight's reflection. It was a quite day as usual for Cataleya, though today she was not accompanied by her dear sister. Just one of those days of "me" think she thought. Kind of a bittersweet feelings she had about it. Humming to herself, Cataleya shuffles some of the stones in the river with her hooves, in hopes she could find some freshwater calms.
Devil glanced around warily as he approached the river, his greasy hair clinging to his fur. He hadn't left his cave in days and was in need of a good bath, you could practically see the flies buzzing around him, if he'd permitted anything to live anywhere near his person. The hart kept his eyes to the ground as he walked to his usual watering hole, unaware that someone was polluting it with their germs.
Cataleya: Cursing under her breathe, she was getting a bit frustrated with some of the freshwater clams she found. Cataleya was hoping to crack a few without breaking the shells. That way she could bring home some of the prettier shells to her sister. Huffing out of annoyance, it was best to stop for now & just to try again later. Having her fill for now, she began to hum once more. This time not as much as to herself while mumbling a few verses of a song as well.
Devil bent down, lapping lazily at the water with his tongue. His ears twitched at the sound of music, something he was familiar with due to Cerberus' presence in his life. Unfortunately, there wasn't supposed to be any singing around here. This was a place of peace for him. The sickly hart grimaced as he looked around for the source of the sound, hoping it was just some nearby song bird. What his eyes landed upon was not a bird to his displeasure.
"Wonderful..."
Cataleya: Shuffling some rocks once more, this time not looking for shellfish but any other freshwater creatures hiding amount the rocks. Sadly seems nothing could be found. Cataleya sings a few more verses before finally stopping. Throughout the time being by the water, she never checked her surrounding. Why would she? Her connection to the water was far more important to anything else. That's usually what gets her in certain situations in the marsh; she has a way around that however. Cataleya shakes her wet mane while finally looking around the river. She wasn't alone.
"You know, staring isn't polite."
A small smile plays across her muzzle, looks like she has a potential play-date.
Devil let out a snort as the hind finally noticed him, the comment making him do nothing more than raise an eyebrow. "Neither is filthying up the river water with your dirty hooves, but it seems it's already a bit too late for that." At that he shuddered, imagining what disgusting bugs, bacteria, and fungi this hind could've carried in.
Cataleya: "Oh, I'm so sorry for disturbing your water. I guess the thought of other creatures that live in it who do far worse within it is not to second guess, but my actions are"
Potential play-date he was for sure. Cataleya walks closer to this young buck withing the water of course. Her steps her confident as her head was held high. She wanted to get a closer look of whom she'd be playing with today. Once in a closer range, she could clearly see he was one to speak ill of being filthy when he, himself was in fact in need of a bath. Batting her eyelashes at him as she sways her tail in the water. Making a ripples
"I'll give you some privacy by going down stream, that way you can have 'pure' water to bathe your filthy self. . .but let me give you a helping hand" Another small smile plays across her muzzle as she uses her tail to splash him.
"I don't really have much of a choice but to suffer their presence now do i?" Devil sighed, tossing his grimy hair to the side as it fell into view. When the hind stepped forward he took a step back, nose crinkling in displeasure prompting him to fake a sneeze.
"Privacy?" He sniffled, "oh yes, that's what i need." With the splash of water in his face his jaw dropped in shock. "Y-you!"
