Jossalyn is the definition of free spirit. She want to be attached to and held down by no one and nothing. Things like Schools or Social Services don't agree with her. If Jossalyn had say in the matter, her mother would be taken care of and She'd be left to work and thrive on her own. Many a time she has considered running away, and more than once has she actually done so. She follows the rythym of her own heartbeat. Nothing else matters. Jossalyn is the only one in control of her own destiny.
She has no respect for authority as no one has the right to rule over her. Authority? Jossalyn doesn't care. Even the command of the Headmaster would do little to move the young girl. Teachers and their like can kiss her glorious derriere. Really they're just wasting their breath. Jossalyn does what she wants, when she wants. Denial and rejection have no meaning to her and any negativity from another is just brushed off as insignificant.
Jossalyn has will enough to match anyone, but where she won't allow anyone to tell her what to do, neither will she tell other's what to do. Don't think she'd make a good leader. She doesn't give a shaff what you do so long as you don't get in her way.
Jossalyn takes as much joy in frenzied activity as she does in lazy days in the sun. There is nothing that she won't try at least once, and much that she will re-visit again and again until she has it down perfect.
Ravenclaw Scorpio Curiosity killed the cat; satisfaction brought it back. If ever a wizard exhibited a danger of self destruction from too much knowledge, surely it was a Ravenclaw Scorpio. It doesn't matter whether the pet obsession this week is botany, Muggle pop music, or the history of the Necronomicon, if a Ravenclaw Scorpio wants to know about it, then he will, and damn the consequences: full speed ahead. Indeed, just mention that a subject is "forbidden" and you'll see a peculiar light shine in their eyes. They sneak into locked rooms after dark, and forge passes to the restricted library sections. The lust for arcane knowledge is both the greatest strength of these wizards, and the Achilles heel. It's best to indulge them whenever possible and let the obsession burn itself out; and, when this is not possible, to explain in great detail and absolutely *no* patronizing why the subject must not be explored. These Ravenclaws are quiet and secretive, but don't be fooled by that calm and placid exterior; they have hidden depths.
Habits: Trying new things, re-trying not-so-new things, telling idiots to sod off, telling Teachers (AKA: Idiots) to sod off, getting detention, doing it all again.
Hobbies: Getting into trouble, Kickball, Reading Fantasy Books (shhhh), browsing wikipedia (what do you mean there's no internet?!)
Likes: Dragons/reptiles/little bitey things; Fantasy books, especially one's about dragons where they aren't the bad guys. Salted Caramel ANYTHING, Kickball.

Extended Family: None as she's aware of. Never met any aunts, uncles, or grandparents.
Relationship with Family: It's complicated. Jossalyn loves her mother, but at the same time she hates her. She's glad to be away, but has a need to constantly check on her mother's well being and misses her until she returns home.

Broken in, warn and holey jeans, beat up sneakers that are probably too big, and whatever discarded band t-shirt she can find for a few cents at the local thrift store.
Favorite Class: Transfiguration.
Worst Class: History of Magic. Uuuuuuuuuuugggghhhh. I want to DO magic, not learn about it.
