- Character Personality
Minzhe is a soft-spoken, rather aloof, individual. He does not speak as much as most, and when he does he is often rather quiet and detached. His personality is cool most of the time, not often giving personal details to others or talking much. While many think that their words may eventually get to him, Minzhe isn't actually really looking to make friends, and ultimately does not particularly care what others think of him or do around him. His temper, like his personality, is rather cool, and he does not often get angry or worked up about things that happen around him. The combination of these personality traits in particular do not make him an overly likeable individual. Many have found themselves irritated with him, because in some ways his personality seems like a rouse at times - as though he is just putting on a show to come across as this type. In fact, the truth is that Minzhe is simply aloof and detached as a person, regardless of whether or not it would make someone irritated.
Another side of Minzhe's personality is that which very few ever see, which is his deep emotional turmoil. In many ways it might seem somewhat stereotypical to have a quiet individual with such turmoil, however in fact Minzhe's conflicts extend far beyond what is stereotypical. He is a very caring individual with a rather heartbreaking past, and finds himself torn between following his rage over his issues or following his depression. His ultimate plan is to find a medium, and through that medium achieve his ultimate goal. Despite these traits, Minzhe does not actually have a clear ulterior motive. For the most part, it seems as though he is just a soldier who always has to have a cause, and it just so happens that joining the Time Rogue was the cause he had the least problems with. Ultimately, this becomes his dominant feat, over his inner angst and sorrow: following a pack without thought for common societal morals. Even so, it constantly becomes clear that Minzhe is not a follower, and rather is the epitome of loneliness: being alone even when among others. - Character Likes:

Minzhe was born into nobility as the only son to his two parents in Beijing. "'Minzhe'," his mother explained to him one day, "means 'sensitive and wise'." His parents wished the best from him - for his success, for his life. This life would be cut short, taking with it his parents' hopes and dreams. However, there were still two decades of Minzhe's life before it would end. And, from early on, it appeared that his name had blessed him with these traits. His success early on with the most prestigious tutors, as well as his lack of arrogance and soft-spoken nature, gave his parents hope for his successful future.
He succeeded in academically, eventually being accepted into one of the most prestigious upper academies. Everything was looking up for young Minzhe, however something began to seem off. He performed well, both academically and in martial arts studies, though he always seemed detached. No one paid him much mind, and his life was overall extremely uneventful; the day before he would graduate from the academy, Minzhe killed himself.
Rukongai
He awoke in Soul Society with no memory of his high born social status. Born into one of the lowest Rukongai district with his past completely forgotten: equal to the lowlifes with no recollections of their living life either. It would be an upsetting fate for his parents to know, however he and his parents would literally never meet again. Aside from the basic knowledge that he must have parents, Minzhe wouldn't even know who they were. Even Minzhe's death would be mostly obscured from his memory. He remembered a bit: how he took his life, the face of the Soul Reaper who passed him on to the next life, those small details. When faced with his new life, all those things seemed small, and blurred in comparison to the bigger gap in his memory. Minzhe did not know where he went to school, the name of his home town, where he lived, any of those things that most living humans would remember at the same point in their life. But it was the same for most, and for this reason it seemed normal for him to not remember the faces of his own flesh and blood.
In essence, his slate was clean and he could begin carving his own destiny. The rough life of his district largely formed who he was: from early on, Minzhe learned that he had two options. He could either learn to fight on his own, or join a rag-tag gang of warriors and push others around. At first, he chose the former. His skill with a blade was surprising, and he was easily one of the muscles in a group of five thugs who roamed the streets pushing around merchants and stealing from women and the elderly. It was not a desirable life path, and even at the time Minzhe had a slight awareness of this. Despite waking with no real memories of his upbringing, he had a basic sense of justice which drove him, and this directly conflicted with such dishonorable discourse as was done by the thugs. But his moral compass was shut off, for the sake of survival, and he simply closed his conscience to keep going through these motions.
That is, until he met her. Minzhe never learned her name - they never spoke. He began noticing her from afar, and often thought of her as a jewel in such a rough place as that district of Rukongai. His love maybe was nothing more than a surface sort of love, but he noted when she would help the victims of the actions of the gang of which he was a part. Every time she glared after them, a soft glare of hatred, he would feel a stab of pain. He knew she was a kind soul, and for this reason he knew he could never speak to her. As a member of such a cruel gang, even if he left the others she would still remember him for putting his throat up to the necks of innocents. Her actions, over the course of a few years, began to show Minzhe the error of his ways. Even if for the sake of survival, pushing around innocents was not worth his time. While he couldn't erase the past, he could compose something different for his future. He left the gang, and became a wandering warrior.
With Minzhe's prowess in swordsmanship, it quickly became apparent that surviving on his own would not be difficult. When his former gang came after him, he cut them all down in cold blood, even as they attacked him all at once. No one else dared challenge him, nor did they have reason to; after leaving the gang, he rarely ever went in public. Maybe she noticed, or maybe she didn't, at this point Minzhe could only really think of her as being a person of the past, though on the days where he would sit in the forest for hours on end in thought, he would often wonder if, maybe, she felt the same for him. He would wonder if, maybe, he should have gone to her after leaving the others. Maybe she had waited for him, and maybe she still waited for him. But after isolating himself, Minzhe knew that he could never really go back, and no one tried to make him. Except for one.
The Soul Reaper who came to Minzhe was a memorable one. He had long red hair, half braided and the rest falling past his back, that glistened in the sun like a stream of blood. His fierce eyes of a matching shade seemed to pierce through Minzhe, who on that particular day was sitting beside a tree trunk in the middle of the thick forest. Minzhe remembers every detail of how this man stood: how his arms folded across his black uniform which highlighted the strong hue of his hair, how his Zanpakuto was sloppily sheathed at his waist, and those seven words: "Are you just going to sit there?" spoken in a deep tenor voice. It was all that was said, and all that needed to be said. In fact, Minzhe did not continue to sit idly.
Shinigami Academy
Within the day, Minzhe joined the Academy. It was the first day of a new year, and the entrance exam was not difficult for one of Minzhe's natural prowess. He stood alone among the many in their crisp Academy uniforms, all eager to begin their new life. A speech was given; for the most part this was a small, and blurred memory. The more important fact was the beginning of the new year, and with it the beginning of Minzhe's new life among the Soul Reapers. However, his journey began with a rocky start. Some of his classmates knew him from his time with the gang, and this immediately earned him scorn. As an introverted individual, Minzhe had no problem with an absence of friendship, however he would not have minded if someone had been kind to him.
His classes were not overly difficult. Swordsmanship came naturally, and he discovered that Kido did as well. With Minzhe's studious nature, he succeeded in the lecture courses as well. Not surprisingly, this did not make him anymore friends. Since he was the quiet sort, he did not outwardly answer the professor's questions, however this also made him seem to cold to approach for studying help. He quietly succeeded when those around him - most of whom felt they were more worthy than he - failed. Within a few years, Minzhe had met the graduation requirements and was almost immediately recruited into a squad. However, he chose to wait until the typical graduation date, for the sake of not further segregating himself from his peers.
It was on a whim that Minzhe chose to go meet her. On this day, Minzhe was in line to graduate and enter his squad, but the morning before he thought to go find that girl. He left early so as not to miss the ceremony, and knowing no other way of finding her, he asked around. Most ignored his question, however one stall owner he had harassed in what seemed like a lifetime ago responded. The old man wrinkled his nose in disgust, first asking what Minzhe wanted with her. Once Minzhe assured the merchant of his good intentions, the old man said that a gang of arrogant Soul Reapers had raped and murdered her about a year ago. There was no evidence to prove them guilty, however everyone knew. They had been removed from the Gotei 13 a few months earlier for different reasons, but this struck Minzhe with a new realization. Despite his hopes for a new life among the Gotei 13, Minzhe realized that in many ways they were just another gang, like the one before. Rather than attend his graduation ceremony, Minzhe left.
Rogue
Soon after leaving, Minzhe cast away his uniform to dress himself more neutrally. A search party came after him, and without a care for what anyone thought, he cut them down with his Zanpakuto. This immediately put him on the list of rogues, immediately making him an enemy of the Gotei 13. He tried to stay in Soul Society for a while: he lived in the forest as he had before, however the teams they sent out always seemed to find him. At first the teams were fairly weak, however as they increased in strength, Minzhe knew that he could not stay in Rukongai. As a rogue, there was nowhere he could really call home. And so, naturally, he chose to go to where most enemies of the Gotei 13 went: Hueco Mundo.
Minzhe's time in Hueco Mundo was rather uneventful. He found a cave to house himself in and spent his days either in meditation or hunting powerful hollows for fun. Eventually, Minzhe earned a name for himself in Hueco Mundo, becoming one of the few figures which the hollows truly feared. For several centuries, Minzhe's simple existence dragged on, repeating the same routine day after day, year after year. That is, until he met a strange woman in the land of the hollows. She was not a hollow, nor was she a Shinigami, so Minzhe paused long enough to hear her out. Apparently, there was some group known as the time rogues. There were only two of them, but nonetheless Minzhe was not thrilled about joining people. Eventually, she convinced him and brought him into their small fold. He was trained to channel his natural solitude into his ability as a Time Rogue.

Jikan Data- Jikan Name:
- Jikan Sealed Form:
- Jikan Activation Statement:
"There is no need for outsiders; trust only yourself, Gū." - Jikan's True Appearance
Upon releasing the command, the hilt and blade of the sword literally shatter, revealing a much more beautiful blade that is made out of a lightly dyed glass [x] [x] - Jikan Abilities
A Lonely Battle - The primary and on-going ability of Gū is in its reiatsu absorption. Throughout a battle, the Jikan will absorb a set amount of spiritual energy from all of the people involved in the battle (including allies). In addition, one quarter of Minzhe's reiatsu is additional absorbed at the beginning of the release, thus making Minzhe fight with only three quarters of his total power no matter what; in particular, this weakens his Shunpo ability to the point where Minzhe is too weak to Shunpo more than once every five [5] posts or cast Kido spells above number forty [40] at all. This affects all people within a one hundred [100] meter diameter range. What this ability means is that the fewer people there are in the battle, the more reiatsu will be absorbed from each individual and the more drained they will feel as the battle continues. Thus, the "lonelier" the battle, the more the Jikan affects the opponents. However, given that the Jikan absorbs energy indiscriminately, the release is extremely difficult to use in concert with Minzhe's fellow Time Rogues. In this way, Minzhe's Jikan dooms him to fight alone whether or not he is facing an opponent one-on-one and further embodies the loneliness which continuously haunts Minzhe. Solitary Serenade - Throughout its release, the blade makes a quiet humming noise. Though the "serenade" is almost inaudible, the noise penetrates the brain in such a way that it distracts opponents and detracts from their ability to communicate. The more energy that the Jikan has absorbed, the louder the noise becomes until it is an almost hypnotizing melody which drowns out most dialogue. The progression of the volume of the serenade is by number of posts of release, as the number of opponents does not affect how much reiatsu is absorbed. This ability affects approximately a one hundred [100] meter diameter area, the same as the "Lonely Battle" ability, though unlike the "Lonely Battle" ability, this ability does not affect Minzhe. For the first three [3] posts of release, the serenade is a soft white noise in the background that is more of an irritation than an actual detrimental ability. During posts four [4] through post seven [7], a quiet and distracting melody can be heard. Posts eight [8] through twelve [12] are a normal volume, but not yet overwhelming melody. From posts thirteen [13] through fifteen [15] the melody will be fairly loud and distracting. After post sixteen [16] the music will be so loud that it is almost overwhelming, and this cannot be reversed until the Jikan is released. Post counts are gauged by posts of the user and will be tracked at the bottom of each post for reference. Distortion of Solitude - the most combat oriented ability of the Jikan is in its growth ability. When fighting against one lone opponent, the "Solitary Serenade" ability will not be instituted at all. Instead, the blade will grow one centimeter for every post, made possibly by the focusing of the absorption of the spiritual energy into this purpose. While the growth is not incredibly huge, the reason the ability is effective is in the fact that its growth is not easily noticeable. The opponent, constantly viewing the blade, will not have an easy time noticing a few centimeters, though the length is enough to throw off any of the opponent's estimates of distance for dodging, which in turn allows for more attacks to land. While there is no length limit, Minzhe is able to break off pieces of the blade, making the edge more sharp and deadly while also not allowing the blade to grow too long. However, this also means that the opponent can break the blade with especially powerful attacks. After approximately five [5] posts the growth will be obvious to the keen observer, and after about seven [7] posts the average opponent will realize and notice that the blade has grown considerably larger. Post counts are gauged by posts of the user and will be tracked at the bottom of each post for reference. - Achieved? ✓
- Jikan "Pure" Name:
- "Pure" Appearance:
When the pure Jikan is released, the original glass Jikan sword shatters in Minzhe's hands. The release tears through Minzhe's flesh, covering the glass in crimson blood. All of the shards of glass fall into the ground, growing into a crystal forest surrounding the combatants within a two hundred fifty [250] meter diameter range. The forest is like a normal forest in that it is remarkably difficult to navigate, with crystal shards forming obstacles for the duration of the battle. In the initial release, all of the combatants are separated from each other unless they are literally standing right next to each other. As the forest grows, crystals also grow along Minzhe's body, caused by the lacerations in the initial release of the blade; this creates a crystalline armor which makes him appear almost like some sort of giant crystal beast. After the release, Minzhe removes one of the shards of red glass which appears to be in the shape of a single-edged crystal dao sword. The crystals on Minzhe as well as the dao sword cannot be destroyed, however the crystals of the forest can be destroyed with especially powerful attacks. - "Pure" Abilities
Crystal Merge - The primary ability of the Jikan is in Minzhe's ability to merge with the crystals. After being cut by the blade in release, the crystals which grow along Minzhe's body allow him to literally merge with the crystals. In this form, Minzhe can travel from crystal to crystal, allowing for unexpected attacks on enemies. Though this attack is useful for sneaking up on opponents, the weakness of the attack is in that Minzhe can be seen in whatever crystal he has merged with. If an opponent follows him in this form, the opponent can predict where Minzhe will attack from, and thus eliminate the surprise properties of this ability. However, the ability is still useful in that, while merged with the crystals, Minzhe is immune to attacks. When outside of the crystals he can be attacked despite the layers of crystal covering his flesh, and if all the crystals in the forest are destroyed while he is still inside, he will die. Isolated Mirrors - All of the crystals reflect everything almost as perfectly as a mirror. This is convenient for throwing off opponents, and even more convenient when used in conjunction with the Crystal Merge ability. When used with the Crystal Merge ability, Minzhe is reflected onto crystals other than the one he is currently in. Thus, while he is still visible, predicting from where he will attack is considerably more difficult since his form is reflected into most of the other crystals around the opponent. This ability also enhances the isolated properties of the Jikan's pure release: with the reflections of Minzhe and the opponent as the primary reflections, the opponent feels boxed in, though it is possible that his allies are within the crystal forest as well. With the labyrinthine properties of the crystal forest added as well, every opponent feels as though he is fighting Minzhe alone, whether he is or not. Disorienting Voice - While Minzhe is covered in the crystals of the Jikan pure form, his voice is given different properties that allow his voice to echo off of the crystal surfaces. This makes it even more difficult to figure out where Minzhe is. Whenever he speaks, he sounds as though he is literally everywhere at the same time, making the Jikan pure form seem even more as though he is boxing in each individual opponent. Ultimately, all three of these abilities used together make Minzhe the "lord" of his realm in the Jikan pure form, and as the lord of his realm, he isolates each opponent, making them fight their own, lonely battle as makes sense with his aspect of death. - "Pure" Time Able to Be Held:
Twelve [12] posts without consequence. After twelve posts, the crystals begin to permanently merge with Minzhe's flesh. By fifteen [15] posts, he would be a permanent, crystal beast. After twenty [20] posts he would literally turn into an inanimate crystal. - Achieved? ✓
