Azure Dawnsinger

Azure Dawnsinger sat within a tavern, a frothy mug sitting on the table before him as his eyes roamed over the map he had sprawled out. Everything looked to be set and, if luck was with him, this would be the first step towards a previously undiscovered quest. A gloved finger traced the route he would take from this city to his destination. It would be a long journey and he could very well be heading to an unexplored area of the server with little chance of finding anything, but it was a risk he was willing to take.

Azure was, after all, not without his own strength. While he was a bard, he had been playing the game since it's release and, as a result, was far from powerless. He hadn't heard of many bards close to his level (which may very well be a result of the class being more unpopular with they younger player base) and few were as active as he. Even fewer will willing to do some of the things he did.

Azure had gone on many dangerous quests alone and without assistance. As a bard, this may have come across as suicide to some, but Azure always managed to not only survive but excel! His ability to get around many of the games most dangerous enemies without suffering horrendous damage was baffling to many. Some had accused him of cheating but Azure would never do such a thing. Those that had gone on quests with him quickly put those accusations to rest on behalf of the bard. Azure had made many allies during his time within the game and he was always willing to assist the newbies whenever he could.

But this time he was doing something strictly for himself. This time, he was going for the sole goal of furthering himself.

Various high level quests that he had completed had given very vague hints to a possible quest designed specifically for bards. It would be dangerous and it would involve a LOT of Dragons, but Azure was confident that he could handle it.

Dragons were far from a common enemy in the game and those that parties encountered often challenged the most veteran players. But they were also unlike most other enemies. Azure was sure that those that he might encounter on this quest wouldn't be ones he would need to vanquish with strength or spells.

The map that he had didn't have his destination marked, but he was sure that it was there. A place called the Dragon Shrine, located within a huge mountain in the middle of a vast desert. The place was so far out of the way of the standard questing zones that Azure doubted he would see anyone that would be able to give him and he was hesitant to ask anyone for assistance. While there would certainly be treasure to be had, the journey would be long, difficult, and full of danger. The last thing Azure wanted was to have someone else's blood on his hands.

||Fantica||

Any of the taverns within Larmadia were not generally places that Fantica would ever go. Sure, if she was desperate for supplies, or a group she volunteered with wanted to meet there, then fine. She would go, stick to a wall, and that was that.

So to see her within the walls of one on her own? She was not accompanied by any means, and she was at the bar of all places getting something to drink - something else not exactly normal to her person.

For those that knew anything about her - or of her, for that matter - this was an uncommon situation. And the fact that she not only turned from the bar, but then approached a player (one Azure Dawnsinger at that), and then actually spoke was even more abnormal.

“I hear you’re on quite the quest…or on the verge to being as such.” Ah, the ever secretive information network at it’s finest.

But, if Azure was looking for information and answers, who better to get it from than Fantica? …Well, there was Requiem of course, but he was not present at the moment. Now was he?

Azure Dawnsinger

Azure looked up from his map, his eyes finding a rather attractive woman who appeared to be around the same age as he was. Not only that, but she appeared to be rather high level as well. He smiled, sitting back in his chair so that he was no longer hunched over the map.

"While I'm not sure who you heard it from... I am. One that could very well make me the envy of all Bards across Larmadia. At least... Assuming I've interpreted all the clues successfully and survive the journey."

His mind was alight with the possibilities. The reward, if he had guessed correctly, would be special spells specific to Bards called Dragon Songs. Azure wanted nothing more than to learn these songs. Not for the power, but for the knowledge. The prospect for knowledge just on the journey alone would be great.

The Bard cleared his throat as he forced himself back to the waking world and out of his day dreams.

"Of course, such a journey won't be without it's perils. I doubt that this will be a simple walk in the park. I've been on plenty of dangerous journeys and quests before, but I've no doubt that this one will be the most difficult of all."

Despite being online often, Azure didn't recognize the player before him. He knew a lot of high level players but this person escaped him. Either this person was interested in sharing in his danger or wanted the information he had. And he hadn't exactly been very withholding thus far.

"Again, I'm not sure how you heard about my quest and I sadly must admit that I cannot recall ever meeting you before. Might I ask your name?"
