So for starters, I work in a supermarket. My boss is nice and all but she doesn't do well with scheduling and people organizing. After 3 hours-ish of sleep, I begrudging go to work for my 6hr shift. We have a new CSR for the front who wasn't trained so that caused us to get backed up in things that needed to be done. On top of that, we were running low on bags (and likely ran out or came close to after I left).
After 4hrs, I finally get my break and have to rush through that so others can get their late and missing breaks. At some point after, I had to go people greet because I'm the official store greeter (got my pic taken and everything) and though we're supposed to have one til 7, I was there 20 mins or so before being pulled up front to cashier again.
We were so understaffed from our boss not understanding how small tourist towns work that we were trying to push to pick up slack, not run out of bags, and dealing with customers that were crabby from having to wait for so long for our 3 open lanes.
Finally after the long 6hrs were done I went to the hardware store with my bfs dad who unfortunately had to pick me up for the 2nd day in a row, and he dropped me off at home. Now for the same thing tomorrow.
Anyone have a better day?
