Upon the Captains dismissal, Akane took one last bite of her apple before standing and tossing the remaining core into the trash. The lieutenant glanced at Tetsu, "Hey, boy you're free from training for tonight, but I suggest you get some rest. You'll need all the energy you can get. I won't go as easy on you now that you've got your shikai." With her final statement, Akane turned away only to approach the young blonde. Her words weren't exactly soft, but weren't entirely harsh, "You did good today, Rin. Please don't leave here alone for a while, things aren't safe right now." She seemed somewhat thoughtful, as if she could relate and soon added, "I understand you want to be stronger, but don't forget the Captain and I are here for you. I'm not going to baby you, you already know that, but it doesn't mean you can't rely on me once in a while." Akane wasn't exactly good at expressing herself, but she wanted to make sure Rin didn't think she wasn't entirely unsympathetic, or that she wasn't willing to listen. She never developed great social skills, they usually weren't' needed when most people feared or disliked her and she disliked most people.
