Welcome to Shira Vale, a quaint port town where magic, quite literally, comes to life. Many young couples come to Shira Vale to get married or for their honeymoon, lead by legacies and whimsical fantasies of magic.
But, that is not of importance.
Many of Shira Vale’s permanent residents are families with children of schooling age. A group of these young ones all live in the neighbourhood of Bliss Hollow. Or if you prefer: the Vicinitatem of Bliss Hollow.
Latin is a beautiful, lost language that suits the little port town well: don't you agree?
Regardless, these children of Bliss Hollow who come from various backgrounds, are about to face something they could not imagine was real. A different, age-old, kind of magic is about to reappear in Shira Vale, in the Vicinitatem of Bliss Hollow.
Shira Vale has centuries of history that root magic along with its oldest neighbourhood, the Vicinitatem of Bliss Hollow. One of Shira Vales oldest tales involving Bliss Hollow and magic is one of a group of children who one day woke up different than they were before. They each had special abilities so diverse that together they could cover all areas of magic imaginable. During the time these children obtained their magical abilities a war of independence was raging on throughout their country. As the children became more capable of harnessing their new-found powers, they were able to gather most of the population of Shira Vale and the surrounding villages together. With their efforts, the population fought harder than ever before for their freedom and they succeeded. After the war ended the children still had their powers but no real purpose to use them. They were no longer kids and what used to amuse them no longer satisfied.
What happened to these children remains a mystery to everyone in Shira Vale and the rest of the world. The history books on the war didn’t cover all the background information on the war and no documents taken of the children’s lives after the war have been found. Many who would have known more of these children have long since passed on. It’s unknown to Shira Vale’s residents if any successors of these children of legend exist. Many tourists still believe Shira Vale holds magic deep inside its roots, for they’ve heard many tales of the old port town, some even involving the magic of everlasting love. But no magic tale of Shira Vale is more intriguing and well-known as the one of Bliss Hollow’s gifted children.
When a group of children from the Vicinitatem of Bliss Hollow discover that they have a semblance of their own magical abilities, they’re determined to have more fun than ever before. However, the simplistic lifestyles of this rambunctious group of friends, or close to, are destined to change.

As of September 2nd, 2013 we are still accepting a few more profiles if others have genuine interest in joining in on the fun. The current rule is each person is allowed two characters. Each character must be sent to and accepted by the moderators of Vicinitatem. A moderator will submit your character to Vicinitatem’s Character Profile List once it is accepted. Again, if there is a genuine interest for more characters to be added, we will definitely consider opening up more spaces. The current moderators are x_Reflective Memories_x and Eloquent Melodies. ⊁Your character must be in the age range of 10-15. Their age will change as the plot progresses. ⊁All NPCs will be created and run by the current guild moderators at this time. This may be subject to change. ⊁A Mary Sue Litmus Test is not required at this time. ⊁Whether your character has lived in the neighbourhood of Bliss Hollow for their whole life and whether or not they like any of the other kids is up to you. ⊁This is not a school RP. This is what children of Bliss Hollow do in their free time and what happens to them. For example, they could go to the pier or visit the general store and get some candy. However, your character can always mention school and what they learned, et cetera. Some threads for separate places in Shira Vale are up. ⊁This is Currently not an Active Rule Due to No Current Plot Development/Engagement If you’re inactive for more than 8 days, your character shall be noted as “On Holidays / Vacation Until Further Notice” If you were in mid-conversation with someone at the time you go inactive, your conversation will be considered as done so the other one waiting for you to respond can now interact with others somewhere else until you get back. When your become active and submit a post again you must in some way state that you character is back from holidays or vacation.
