Ever notice how a lot of popular songs sound kind of of the same?

This is an accurate and comedic demonstration of why that's the case.

Lol I love that song. Not sure why that's such a popular progression in....popular music. Hmm. Might have answered my own question just now. Lol

Now that I'm thinking about it, The Classic Crime has a song called "4 Chords" that uses that same chord progression also. xp

I think it's genius. Especially when the chubby bloke comes in with "Can You Feel the Love Tonight." Makes me laugh every time I see it.

And they're very talented singers to boot. Especially the blond with the glasses the the husky fellow. Beautiful voices.

Well, it's a nice-sounding chord progression. And as I think these guys have proven, it's versatile as futhat inappropriate word originally used as a rude word for
intercourse but has since become usable as almost part of speech in almost any context.

It's not only used in popular music. I mean, these guys even sing a phrase from...I believe it's a Puccini aria but I don't know opera well so I could be mistaken. It's just become out-of-control popular in the pop/rock/emotional ballad world.

These guys actually use songs that flip the chord progression at some point, but it's still the same chords.

And let's face it: while many of the songs they sample are bland and/or overplayed, many of them are actually quite pretty. My favourite Disney movie is, and has been since it came out, The Lion King, and "Can You Feel the Love Tonight" has always been one of my favourite songs from that film; yeah, I realise that's like the gayest favourite song for a man to love, but...well are you really surprised? ("Be Prepared" is my other favourite, which re-watching as an adult I totally picked up on the Nazi-like symbolism that, of course, I totally missed when I was younger; that's the beauty of Disney and what makes at least their classic films timeless.)

Lol, yep seen that vide a while ago.
It's happen to me before that I start playing one song but end up singing another >.<
and I'm like wait, what...? lol
Thankfully it has never happened during service.
Happens in christian (?) music an awful lot as well.
